You can argue whether getting Mike Tomlin would be a good thing for the Commanders or not. I happen to love Tomlin as a leader of men. But did this dude say Tomlin was bad on TV? What an informed take.
ManCheater City and Arsenal now tied at the top of the table in the EPL after Arsenal’s 2-nil win over Everton and City’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa. Both team are 7-0-1 with 21 points apiece. Thought you’d like to know.
Will he or won’t he? Will Dan Quinn once again eschew his signature backwards cap look - like he did for the 49ers game - for the traditional bill in front look vs Eagles next Sunday night. Can’t wait to find out.
Old enough to remember when the Brewers were in the American League and the Tampa Bay Rays were the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Bingo! Could not have said this any better Chuck.
Locks has $9.75 million reasons not to be mad. Not to mention, the classy way Jim Smith and the AD department handled his departure. That said, I appreciate (who he is and remains) aka. a good guy + class act.. And his long tenured service to the University on multiple levels and in various roles. He, undoubtedly, gave it his full time, energy and effort and it just didn't produce the consistent winning results we all wanted. No shame in that. He and his family should be proud.
Hopefully, better days ahead for all involved. Once a Terp, always a Terp! @TerpsFootball @umterps @TerpsADJimSmith @JCLaBue @kmills34
Smart move by my alma mater. @PovichCenter @merrillcollege
The @UofMaryland Athletics Department has agreed to First Amendment training with FIRE after two student journalists were reported to campus police for “suspicious activity” while trying to interview @umterps football players.
Student reporters should be able to do their jobs in public spaces without fear of unnecessary police encounters.
We appreciate Maryland Athletics’ willingness to address these concerns. Public universities — including their athletic departments — have a duty to protect press freedom, not intimidate those exercising it.
It’s the World Series match-up everyone wanted and predicted: Milwaukee vs Tampa. NOT. Doesn’t mean it won’t be a great series. You should watch. There may not be a World Series next year.
Inconvenient truth for some: Angel Reese is playing like a top 3 player in the WNBA. Love her or hate her, give Reese her props. If she gets a ring before you know who, methinks that might develop into an interesting talking point on this app.
Been watching PTI all 25 years. And talking to my students about how a show can last + flourish for a quarter of a century…which is like a 100 years in dog years or something. Same hosts, same producer, same EP, same format. Simply amazing. Mazel tov. @PovichCenter
At best, a bad look for UMD. Great job @NolanRogalski and @JudeWilkenfeld for being respectful, holding your ground and doing your job as journalists. You did everything right. Thanks Nolan and Jude for coming to my class tonight to discuss. @merrillcollege @PovichCenter
For @testudotimes, @JudeWilkenfeld and I were outside Jones-Hill House trying to get players to comment. An athletics staffer took pictures of us, and a police dispatch was called for suspicious activity; a cop and 2 cop cars pulled up, and officers ID’d us and asked us to leave.

Mike Locksley is officially out as head coach at Maryland after 7+ years. The university and Locksley mutually agreed to part ways according to a press release. Newly promoted DC Aazaar Abdul-Rahim has been named interim head coach. @TheStandardDC

Sources: Maryland coach Mike Locksley has been dismissed. Maryland dropped to 2-5 on Saturday after a last-second loss to Rutgers. Locksley is 39-54 overall at Maryland, including his interim stint in 2015. Maryland is on a bye this week.
The Eagles-Commanders Sunday night game on Nov. 1 will NOT be flexed despite 3 combined wins between the 2 teams. Because of the late night, you can go ahead and call out sick for Monday, Nov. 2 now.
Tirico would probably be great at calling a pickleball match. He's smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy.
Thanks to @TheAthletic for using my tweet on the Brewers awesome but confusing-to-some logo as the centerpiece for their story.
In 1977, Tom Meindel, an Air Force veteran, was finishing his coursework in art instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and had a design business.
The Brewers’ logo contest offered him a challenge, even though he wasn’t the biggest baseball fan.

McCaffrey is a freakishly athletic beast. Maybe the best pass catching RB of all-time and a first ballot Hall of Famer.
