Been watching PTI all 25 years. And talking to my students about how a show can last + flourish for a quarter of a century…which is like a 100 years in dog years or something. Same hosts, same producer, same EP, same format. Simply amazing. Mazel tov. @PovichCenter
Pardon the announcement...join us Thursday, October 22nd at 5PM ET for our 25th anniversary special!

Maryland football head coach Michael Locksley has been fired, according to reporting from ESPN’s Pete Thamel that was confirmed by a spokesperson from Maryland’s athletic department. Former assistant Aazaar Abdul-Rahim has been named as the interim head coach. The team reportedly had a meeting in Jones-Hill House at 11:30 a.m. Several players left the facility in a seemingly positive mood. Center Michael Hershey said the players are not allowed to give any comments. Read more at the link in our bio.

Maryland fans, how will you look back on Michael Locksley's tenure? Three straight bowl game wins for the first time in program history, but a dismal last two-and-a-half seasons. Story on today's firing: dbknews.com/2026/10/21/maryl…

This year's career fair was a great success! Merrill College welcomed 25 organizations to chat with our #merrillmade Terps about job opportunities and internships experiences. It was wonderful to see so many of our students take advantage of this opportunity to network and make professional connections! Thank you to Karen Denny, our director of internships and career development who organized the event, and everyone who made the career fair a roaring success! #fearlessjournalism

THANK YOU to Mike and Karen Weissel, parents of #merrillmade alum Brendan ’26 and fellow Terp Brad ’20, for launching an endowment of #UMD's Testudo Mascot Program! Brendan and Brad are both proud former Testudos. Funds earned from the endowment can pay for additional Testudo suits and mascot training camps, among other program needs. The new gift follows the Weissels' earlier donation to design and buy new heads for Testudo. Incredible generosity to support the symbol of the University of Maryland! #fearlessjournalism Read more: today.umd.edu/gift-gives-tes…

Excited to have this project, one that @WMUCSports has been working on since the winter, go live. Peers and I have gone to Ohio State and UConn this fall. Both weekends have been fully out-of-pocket, a reality we’re looking to change for future trips ⬇️ launch.umd.edu/project/50785
Today, @wmucsports announces a 60-day Launch UMD campaign alongside a gracious donation by Mark Crotty ('80). Before the donation comes into effect for '28-'29, he's pledged to match an additional $2,500 for current use. Support our work with Mr. Crotty: launch.umd.edu/project/50785
