Imagine this guy as president.
The GOP has one hell of a bench.
🚨Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on President Obama mocking the Cheesecake Factory:
“This is the man who built the museum and it looks like Darth Vader’s tomb.”
Bessent also told @FoxBusiness' @FBNNicoleMac he frequents the Cheesecake Factory and always orders the French dip cheeseburger — and suggested the “Martha’s Vineyard set” should “give it a try.”

They need 13
They have 5
2 could be ruled “unseaworthy” in months as per @NavyLookout
That leaves 3, all over 24 yrs old
1 on ops
1 in work up
1 in maintenance

Weird how the EU seems to love pinko authoritarians. So weird.
Congratulations to my friend @LulaOficial on his electoral victory.
Democracy and multilateralism have won in Brazil.
Europe’s partnership with Brazil is thriving.
We will remain by your side for the years to come.
Together we will keep working closely for free and open trade.
A rules-based global order.
And strong ambitions for our climate.

Holy shit… Looks dirty as hell.
Lula put his own former lawyer on the Supreme Court.
He asked the courts for voting to be extended by 2 hours. Skipped the court that should decide it and had that same former lawyer unilaterally decide to order it 2 minutes before polls close.
BUT only for places that still had voting open, which were mainly Lula strongholds that were aware of the request and waited for it to be granted.
This isn't just optics. They knew exactly what they were doing. It's open corruption.

I skip-watched it on YouTube, that was a realistic plot and the "ski board" Frankenstein airplane he designed came out pretty good in the end!
Scenes from the current Ukraine war would be great for an apocalyptic near future mad max scenario
Bill Maher has become so good I can hardly believe it. I actually predicted this back when he used to defend and Coulter and that he went left again and I thought maybe I was wrong but he's gone for 180. Here's his speech against gender apartheid

No matter what country, the liberal party always magically gets enough late ballots to win.
Usually way after the polls close.

No, this has nothing to do America & everything to do with a corrupt Socialist party in Brazil 🛑. Lula's ex attorney extended the voting. Ummmmm Duh.

We might not have won World War II without Franco standing up to Hitler, depriving the Nazis of the Iberian Peninsula, and keeping Gibraltar British.
Franco made the Führer wait.
October 23, 1940, Hendaye station. Hitler’s train sat on the Spanish-French border while Franco’s was still rolling.
When the Caudillo finally arrived, the most powerful man in Europe had already been left cooling his heels. The meeting that followed dragged on for nine hours of circular demands, territorial shopping lists, & polite obstruction.
Hitler wanted Spain in the war, Gibraltar, the Mediterranean, a southern flank against Britain. Franco wanted grain, oil, French North Africa, & time. He got the last of those.
On paper Franco was prepared to honor the war. He had accepted Axis aid during the Civil War, shared anti-communist rhetoric, & kept the door open. In practice he treated the alliance as a transaction he had no intention of completing on Hitler’s terms.
Spain was exhausted, its army thin, its ports vulnerable. Joining would have been suicide dressed as gratitude.
What made the stall personal, not merely strategic, was the deeper contempt. Franco was a devout Catholic who had built his regime on the Church.
Hitler’s private remarks about Christianity, his open scorn for its “Jewish” origins, its universalism, its refusal to kneel to race, were known in Madrid.
Franco had no interest in subordinating Catholic Spain to a movement that treated the faith as an obstacle or a temporary tool.
The waiting, the endless conditions, the refusal to commit: these were not only military prudence. They were the behavior of a man who disliked the person across the table & saw no reason to hurry into his war.
Hitler left furious. He later said he would rather have several teeth pulled than negotiate with Franco again. Spain stayed out. Gibraltar stayed British.
The meeting at Hendaye remains one of the cleaner examples of a weaker power using delay, faith, & national interest to refuse a stronger one, without ever quite saying no.
I think she had a mustache, didn't she? And I know that her communist husband actually painted the interior of the buildings at Rockefeller Center or something? FDR's work project put a lot of money into the hands of communists.
Basically Marxism is supposed to be the Communist Party guiding the proletariat toward the Assumption of the ownership of the means of production. But, hey! Guess what! Once the Communist Party figures out that the proletariat don't really want to listen to them or that even members of the Communist Party want to tell Lennon how to do things, well then the party's over.
I'm sure you've heard that something like 25% of the entire agricultural output of Russia was done on the 5% of the land at The Peasants got to keep himself such as small gardens and stuff around their house. Only severe paranoia could make a Lenin or a Stalin feel that they had to control the Ukrainian wheat fields to control russia. You don't need to have that level of control to control Russia or any other country

Hey I have a question for you, jack! I watch a lot of shows or I used to watch a lot of shows about drug addiction. Chairman Mao decided that the addicts of china, the heroin addicts, the Opium addicts, had one week to quit or they would be shot. G! Guess what! They all quit

My thesis is that the Italian Communists remain more Humane because they never really abandoned Catholicism. That's why I had those communist baptizing their children in red baptismal garments. But I don't want to say that they were somehow really on the side of the good ultimately. The president of Italy whose Name Escapes me at the moment said that all these Marxist theoreticians with talk all this stuff and then be surprised
