A user posted on Reddit that his app had been broken on Replit for six days and support wasn't answering. Our monitoring flagged it, I reached out, and we were on a call in an hour. His questions were all about production: uptime, backups, who answers when something breaks.

Fun fact: a dependency bump can change behavior without a single error. xgboost quietly flipped enable_categorical from False to True.
Agents reading only the installed version scored 2 out of 100 at catching it. Reading both releases through the GitHits API: 99.

Fun Easter egg in DeepSeek's new DeepInfer: 23 files say "Derived from vLLM."
But the source tells a different story. vLLM is a server for any model. DeepInfer is one model, one job, no server.
We traced both through GitHits. Read more: githits.com/blog/deepinfer-v…

Coding agents usually see one repo. But changing your code can break other repos that use it, and the agent can't see them.
We built an agent that reads those repos through the GitHits API. Asked "will this change break anything?", it went from 23–29% right to 95–97%.

Forking a running Perplexity SPACE sandbox copies its files, not its memory or processes. Anything running has to be started again in the fork.
We found that by reading the source with GitHits. More in my write-up:

I wrote up how we built an error root-cause agent on the GitHits API. It names the file and function that raised an error.
On 110 real errors, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash with GitHits scored 89.1% at $0.26 per 1K errors. Codex without GitHits: 84.8% at $2.11.

Insane Grok @bot upgrade!
Finally, you can connect Grok Bot to different agent harnesses and run tasks through their native runtimes.
Devs just open-sourced HarnessRouter, the infrastructure layer that lets Grok Bot run tasks across:
- Codex
- Hermes
- Claude Code
- DeepSeek Harness
- System One, powered by Jev
- Pi, and 20 more
GitHub repo: github.com/HarnessRouter/har…
(don’t forget to star it ⭐)
With HarnessRouter, each external specialist gets to use its own harness, model, tools, skills, and agent loop while Grok coordinates the project from one conversation.
I tested this by asking Grok Bot to turn a support-ticket CSV into an interactive dashboard.
Grok Bot assigned the analysis to DeepSeek Harness with Claude Sonnet 5.5, passed the output to Codex with GPT-5.5, and checked the finished dashboard in its browser.
This differs from simply creating more Bots. These workers are not additional Grok Bots, and Grok Bot itself does not switch harnesses.
Instead, it remains the coordinator while the delegated tasks run inside separate HarnessRouter sessions with the harness of your choice.
So for another task, you can use Claude Code, Hermes, Pi, etc., without requiring a separate integration for task execution, sessions, streaming, and generated files.
HarnessRouter standardizes all those operations through the Unified Harness Protocol (UHP).
UHP handles sessions, streaming, files, cancellation, and failures through the same interface, regardless of which harness runs the task.
I shared the GitHub repo above.
And if you want to dive deeper into Grok Bot, I wrote about it in full in a masterclass, including the shared computer, memory, skills, routines, and the macOS setup.
Read it below.

If you haven't yet tested out GitHits, now is the perfect time. Research tool will run agentic search on our version-aware OSS index and give out cited answer for your agent.

If your software factory can only build what fits its predefined stack, how much freedom have you actually gained over a low-code builder?
We’re putting broadly capable models inside narrowly capable factories. I think we should expect more.

New experimental tool in the GitHits CLI: research.
Ask in plain English. GitHits finds the right repo and answers from the actual source, citing exact files and lines:
githits research "How does FastAPI dependency injection resolve nested dependencies?"
Off by default. Enable in ~/.config/githits/config.toml:
[experimental]

Done? Set tools = false.

What’s happening in the AI-powered reverse engineering and decompilation is absolutely insane. Pretty soon all software will be de facto open-source.
AI is coming for everything and everyone.

My girlfriend asked why I was smiling at my phone at 3AM.
I lost my job last week.
Rent due in 4 days.
No backup plan.
Then I found a 33-year-old nerd who turned $1,000 into $946,207 trading Bitcoin with a trick he stole from hurricane forecasts.
No finance degree. No trading desk. Just a method every meteorologist uses and every trader ignores.
The method: meteorologists never forecast tomorrow with a single model. They run 31 and count the votes. He applied that exact framework to Bitcoin.
Built a Claude agent that reads every 5-minute BTC candle and feeds it into MiroFish simulator running 31 parallel prediction paths.
Trade only fires when 28 out of 31 models agree.
Below 26 votes? Trade dies instantly.
The agent moves faster than any human trading desk:
→ Collects market data 24/7 without breaks
→ Runs continuous simulations inside MiroFish engine
→ Operates fully autonomous with zero manual input
→ Every trade executes only when consensus hits threshold
→ Every dollar captured is pure market inefficiency exploit
That is the entire edge.
Not prediction. Consensus.
Position sizing follows Kelly criterion. Signal fires or it does not. Most signals fail the vote count, so the system stays flat most days.
He spent years learning that certainty is a scam and consensus is the only edge that matters.

A 19-year-old Japanese student built a trading bot with JEV & Claude in 2 days.
Used his iPad as a second monitor.
First night: $6,732 profit.
Starting capital: $68.
Total profit so far: $750,000.
Here's how it works:
The bot scans over 50 markets simultaneously.
Syncs live BTC data from Binance every second.
Spots price errors before humans even notice.
The edge is pure speed + pattern recognition.
While traders stare at charts trying to predict the next move, his bot is already executing on mispricing across dozens of markets.
No guessing.
No emotions.
No hesitation.
Just Claude Code logic finding gaps that close in seconds.
He built the entire system in 48 hours:
→ Claude Code handles the trading logic
→ Binance API feeds real-time BTC data
→ iPad displays multi-market monitoring
→ Executes trades when arbitrage windows open
The system runs 24/7.
Every price dislocation = profit opportunity.
Most people are still trading manually, refreshing charts, second-guessing entries.
Meanwhile this 19-year-old engineering student turned $68 into $750K by letting Claude Code do what humans can't: process 50 markets instantly and execute without fear.
Why are people still trading manually?

This is why you need GitHits for your coding agents.
This way Google will lose search.
Me searching: "[person name] fraud"
AI mode: [person name] didn't participate in a fraud.
Me: Really? What about these two URLs?
AI mode: Indeed, [person name] did participate in a fraud.
Me: How could you miss these two URLs?
AI mode: The truth is, I didn't search. I answered from memory, which is limited to events that happened by December 2024.
