I bet she runs her cul-de-sac’s Neighbourhood Watch committee like it’s a Soviet satellite state #TheTraitors

I call that a LAMENTABLE WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN!
Lucky escapes no. 309: According to Wikipedia, in 1975 there were plans to remake Kind Hearts and Coronets starring Dick Emery.

Why do all antisemitic ladies of a certain age look like this? You can get conditioner very cheaply nowadays, it has to be a choice
A woman at the Sheffield Town Hall protest today said, “Jews are the most hated people on Earth. Why? Because they are killers and psychopaths” When asked “all Israelis?” She replied “90%!” She was not policed. Her views are good to go. @GnasherJew

Green controlled Council spent 5 hours debating Gaza on Wednesday meanwhile we've had no recycling collections since 2023 but that's boring.
They were letting off fireworks on the Expressway 😩😩 This is becoming a lawless town

If I was Jonathan King I would simply never open my mouth again, least of all on a topic such as this.
"Praise the brave women who came forward". And how about "Jail the women who lied and of whom he was found Not Guilty". Balance media, please, as you write your cheques for interviews.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
A not guilty verdict means only that guilt was not proven beyond reasonable doubt, not that accusers lied. Poster Jonathan King was convicted in 2001 of six sexual offences against boys aged 14-15. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_… theguardian.com/uk/2001/nov/21… law.cornell.edu/wex/not_guilty

Owen Jones has one book with a nazi-level antisemitic front cover and another with a gushing endorsement from Russell Brand, he's done well there hasn't he

Pop music used to be so fun
the year was 2004 - R&B and crunk reached the fever pitch in the US, Meanwhile the UK was testing and teasing the sound of the future with a former member of the most manufactured pop band in history. Like, this song wouldn’t say too out of place on 2007s Blackout or 2008s Fame.

The John Lewis ad would have been much improved had Kristin Scott-Thomas simply played it as her Gosford Park character, who kicked a small dog and shagged a bisexual pretend Scottish valet on the night her husband was murdered.

The 2000s was a wild decade. An era of poor taste tabloid trash & unethical sensationalist journalism. The grim morally puritanical cancel culture era of the 2010s & 20s though has been an over-correction.
The 2006 edition of Big Fat Quiz of the Year featured Russell Brand, David Walliams, Jonathan Ross, Jimmy Carr, Boy George, Courtney Love, Sacha Baron Cohen and Ian McKellen reading from Jade Goody’s autobiography.

Also not to be an OLD WORLD SNOB but nothing gives me a greater sense of cultural superiority than Moby Dick being classed as the Great American Novel when it doesn't even rank in the Top 20 of ultimate Victorian novels (all of which are English)
Moby Dick was catastrophically boring after the banger of a first chapter, but The Ice Storm was too hideous for words.

Book people. What’s the most BORING book you’ve ever read? Not bad. Just boring. The one you forced yourself to finish.

Here at Ken Paxton HQ, man in crowd yells “no!” as race called called for James Talarico. Then “Gloria” begins playing loudly on speakers.

I'm reminded of the fact that Barbara Cartland called Colonel Gadaffi (a huge fan of her books) 'Colonel Godolphin' because she couldn't pronounce his name.
Champion jockey Billy Loughnane has been announced as a retained rider for Godolphin!

The reason I will never go on Big Brother is because I know my pull quote would be “I guess you could say I enjoy the finer things in life” and then the Midsomer Murders theme would kick in.

i loathe everything about this on a deeply personal level. scrooge is not a slapstick grinch character who knocks shit over. he is a cold, complicated miser who is a deeply human character, even at the beginning. depp cannot convey sincerity or vulnerability needed for this role
Scrooge was definitely not in the holiday spirit at Bryant Park. During Johnny Depp’s surprise appearance, he went after the Christmas trees and decorations, while the crowd shouted for him to stop. Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, in theaters November 13 🎬🎄 @ebenezermovie
