🚨 BREAKING: The US House has OVERWHELMINGLY voted to CODIFY President Trump's FRAUD DIVISION within the DOJ, 352-72 This is a HUGE win 🔥 The Fraud Division will soon have FULL STATUTORY AUTHORITY to investigate and prosecute fraud against: • Federal government programs • Federally funded benefits • Taxpayer dollars more broadly It now heads to the US Senate Absolutely MINDBOGGLING that ANYBODY could vote against this. But it's just Democrats being Democrats, I guess.

Shocking stuff.
Look at part of an email thread in which officials are debating content and phrasing of an assessment regarding China’s info operations during the 2020 election. They straight up strike a sentence about China seeking to topple Trump and write that China doesn’t have a preference

Excited to see our work published in @ScienceAdvances! We present RBPseg, a method for structural prediction of #phage receptor-binding proteins. We applied it to diverse tail fibers and validated the predicted structures using #cryoEM. Read here: science.org/doi/10.1126/scia…

Very stoked to finally have my first co-first author manuscript published with PNAS nexus. We describe the phiM1 virion structure with a focus on the ejectosome, showing considerable structural variance relative to phage t7. academic.oup.com/pnasnexus/a…

Late post: Had the absolute mega opportunity to attend the 2024 FASEB conference on Virus Structure and Assembly. I presented our upcoming publication, and was fortunate to be awarded travel scholarship funding in the closing ceremonies. Big thanks to the FASEB organizers :)

Excited to have created my first GitHub repository today. My script generates a spectrum of capsid vertex coordinates in @UCSFChimeraX , and prints their coordinates for use in asymmetric reconstruction workflows. I2 symmetry is currently required. github.com/JimHBean/capsid_v…
