Interviewed Manipur Deputy CM Losii Dikho. He indicated the BJP's central leadership has initiated talks to placate Naga MLAs demanding fellow DCM Nemcha Kipgen's removal. He also said he has "no doubt" her husband's outfit was involved in killings of Nagas. Details shortly.
VIDEO | Imphal: Speaking about ongoing situation in Manipur, Deputy CM Losii Dikho says, “Our commitment to the coalition partner is very strong. As we all know, this is a BJP-led government, and we are fully committed to working together to do what is best for our state. We have written to the authorities because the violence, killings, and conflict have escalated, particularly in Kangpokpi district. The main problem, we allege, involves the KNF-P, an organisation that we claim is associated with the Deputy Chief Minister’s husband. We believe this is wrong, and she must take responsibility and put an end to it. If she believes that there should be no fighting, then as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, she must ensure that her husband’s organisation does not engage in violence or killings. This is completely unacceptable, and she must act to stop it. That is why we have said that if she cannot stop the violence, she should step down.” He added, “When such incidents are taking place, why should we ask her to remain as Deputy Chief Minister? She should step down. If she does not want to give up her position, she must immediately ensure that her husband’s organisation stops fighting the Nagas and killing them.” (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

And Kukis end goal is to drive all the Nagas and Meiteis out of Kangpokpi, Noney, Chandel and Tengnoubal, right? There won't be peace as long as the Illegal immigrants/refugees tries to chase the landowners away in Manipur. Also, never forget that Churachandpur was never a Kuki's land. The place was named after this Meitei King.

⚡Trapped by Conflict, Guarded by CRPF: How 147 Naga Villagers Stand Ground Against Land Takeover in Manipur KANGPOKPI: All 147 Naga residents of Konsakhul village in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district have rarely stepped outside their village for the past five months. The only road connecting them to the outside world passes through two Kuki-dominated settlements at a time when the region is being roiled by Naga-Kuki clashes that have claimed at least 62 lives. Konsakhul, which used to have a population of around 550 farming residents, has seen its numbers dwindle significantly. Out of 76 households, only 46 are currently inhabited, leaving just 147 residents behind. According to Pyso Thiumei, a resident whose family members were among the victims, a large group left the village on May 13, resulting in 20 people being abducted by villagers in nearby Leilon Vaiphei and handed over to militants. The bodies of six Naga residents were later recovered by security forces on June 10. Village secretary Paorambou Chanwang highlighted the geographical vulnerability of their location, stating, "Had we been in a Naga district such as Senapati or Ukhrul, there would not have been this problem. We have been living here for generations and cannot abandon our land. Most people from our village have shifted to either Imphal valley, Naga districts, or are living in relief camps, but around 150 of us choose to stay back because Kukis will take over our land if we leave." Due to the blockades and security risks, essential items such as oil, soap, medicine, rice, and salt must be delivered weekly by a platoon of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), which has been stationed at the village since May 13. The security constraints also heavily restrict medical travel. Chanwang Asha (58), who was recently discharged from the hospital after undergoing treatment for kidney stones, shared that her return required intense coordination. The village chief and the CRPF arranged for her to be transported back in a bulletproof car, escorted by an armored Quick Reaction Team (QRT) vehicle to mitigate the risk of roadside ambushes. While the Manipur government did not offer an official response to inquiries, a senior state government official confirmed under anonymity that the security of vulnerable locations is being strictly monitored. The official noted that Konsakhul became a priority focus following the abduction and killing of the six residents. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) continue to provide security convoys along key highways to ensure the transport of fuel and essential goods across the state. #ManipurCrisis #Kangpokpi #Konsakhul #NagaKukiConflict #CRPF #ManipurNews @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @YKhemchandSingh @CMO_MANIPUR_ @LokBhavManipur @adgpi @crpfindia @ANI @thewire_in @ThePrintIndia @IndiaToday @IndiaTodayNE @republic @IndianExpress @thecaravanindia @DeccanHerald @htTweets @the_hindu @newslaundry @newsreel_asia @karishmahasnat @rajkbhat @tweets_prateekg @NilakshiRabhaIN @nit_set @SumirDH @jeegujja @hornbilltv @Nagaland_Post @NELiveTV @ukhrultimes @meiteiheritage @EastMojo @LIANGMAIPOST @Makaam271yr @NewsNltv @ramindesai @LevinaNeythiri @vijaita @TheBlueHills49

#OPINION: "Restoring the rule of law does not require permanently suspending democratic institutions. It requires only that existing institutions be permitted, and if necessary compelled, to perform the functions for which they were established. The police must be free to investigate complaints of extortion and intimidation without fear of political reprisal. The courts must be free to hear cases and render judgments without interference. The #Nagaland Legislative Assembly must be free to debate the government's performance and hold its members accountable. These are not radical proposals; they are the ordinary requirements of a constitutional #democracy. Restoring authority is not a partisan matter. It concerns every citizen who wishes to live by his labor rather than by the labor of others, and every parent who wishes his children to grow up in a society where effort is rewarded and coercion is restrained." - Besesayo Kezo, IPS, Retd. ⚡Kuki SoO cadres on duty brandishing weapons somewhere at Zalenbung, Mahadev Hill Range, #Manipur. Kuki media warriors allegedly propagate that these SoO cadres were missing from the designated Camp (Mt. Sinai) due to long pending payment of stipend from the government. Also, they alleged that there was no reason for these cadres to follow the rules any longer since the agreement got expired on 4 September 2026. Well, if these allegations are true and credible, then the Central and the State Government seriously need to conduct a fast-track investigation and clarify the general public to avoid further misunderstanding and spread of rumours. Furthermore, social media posts clearly show a consensus that these SoO cadres are roaming freely outside their camps and engaging in the violence. @PMOIndia @HMOIndia @CMO_MANIPUR_ @LokBhavManipur @ANI @thewire_in @ThePrintIndia @IndiaToday @IndiaTodayNE @republic @IndianExpress @thecaravanindia @DeccanHerald @htTweets @the_hindu @newslaundry @newsreel_asia @karishmahasnat @rajkbhat @tweets_prateekg @NilakshiRabhaIN @nit_set @SumirDH @jeegujja @hornbilltv @Nagaland_Post @NELiveTV @ukhrultimes @meiteiheritage @EastMojo @LIANGMAIPOST @Makaam271yr @NewsNltv @ramindesai @LevinaNeythiri @vijaita @TheBlueHills49

VIDEO | Imphal: Speaking about ongoing situation in Manipur, Deputy CM Losii Dikho says, “As elected representatives of the state, we are not uncomfortable with any community. We want to do our best to restore peace and normalcy and promote better understanding across the state. When the conflict between the Meiteis and Kukis began, we, particularly the Naga people and Naga MLAs, tried our best to bring the communities together while staying away from the conflict. We sought to support both communities in restoring normalcy and mutual understanding. However, as you all know, the problem initially began between the Nagas and Kukis. We are now getting involved to defuse tensions and put an end to the conflict. There is no point in fighting; whenever issues arise, we need to discuss them and work towards restoring normalcy. Several undesirable incidents have taken place, and the ongoing situation has left us deeply disheartened and disturbed. That is why we are now making efforts to help resolve the problem.” (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

Leaked footage linked to the latest attack on Sinakeithei villagers in Ukhrul district has intensified concern over what local sources describe as the continued impunity of armed Kuki militants, allegedly under Suspension of Operation (SoO) groups with impunity, operating from fortified positions. Sources said the footage where the Kuki militants are seen firing multiple rounds using an Ishapore 2A1 scoped bolt-action rifle, is believed to have been recorded from a bunker in the Lungter Hill range overlooking Sinakeithei. source: UkhrulTimes 22 March,2026
