None of these political parties in Johannesburg can run their campaigns without mentioning Helen Zille. 🤣

Tshwane's water crisis is not an isolated incident. It is a failure of leadership.
Unsafe drinking water. Failing sewage infrastructure. Physical water losses up to 35%.
Yesterday in Parliament, I challenged the Moya administration over its failure to protect residents.

[WATCH] A ward councillor in Bezuidenhout Valley, east of Joburg, says he is not receiving feedback on alternative water provisions from the city. Yesterday, Johannesburg Water issued a warning to residents not to drink or use tap water because of possible contamination after a tree stump fell onto a water pipeline during sewer excavation work. @sholwana_z reports. #Newzroom405

Malatsi’s deeper point in Parliament that day was that companies like Starlink could still comply with aspects of the B-BBEE scorecard, namely skills development and socio-economic development.
They could invest directly in poor black communities and help those communities benefit.
But the ANC is so greedy and unreasonable that it cannot allow poor black people to benefit without its cadres securing ownership stakes in the process.
The justification for this greed? Simple. Ownership is also on the scorecard.

Emotional scenes today at the Constitutional Court, as people are saved from their own incompetence.
Don't worry.
It will be even more emotional on 4 November.

Rwanda is building a track completely from scratch, and Formula 1 is so sure they will deliver that they have already put pen to paper on a 10-year contract.
Meanwhile, South Africa, with an existing track that has fallen out of shape, isn't trusted to get anything done because the South African risk premium is simply too big.
Global capital now views South Africa as a dangerous, untrusted hazard while treating Rwanda as the absolute gold standard for institutional trust.
Formula One Group does not sign a decade-long agreement on raw hope.
They signed with Rwanda because Kigali has built an unshakeable reputation for flawless executive execution.
When the Rwanda Development Board guarantees a timeline, the regulatory red tape is liquidated overnight by a disciplined, single-window executive.
Global capital knows that a promise made in Kigali is a mathematical certainty.
Rwanda turned a blank plot of dirt in Bugesera into a low-risk, elite-aligned asset. Conversely, modern South Africa has become a dangerous, volatile bet that international investors simply refuse to underwrite.
Having the physical layout of Kyalami means absolutely nothing when your entire state apparatus is viewed as a structural liability. You cannot invite a multi-billion dollar global enterprise to a country crippled by terminal municipal decay, and deep institutional rot.
F1 teams cannot run their multi-million dollar telemetry systems on the gamble that local public utilities won't collapse mid-race.
South Africa's existing track falling out of shape is just a symptom of a much larger, systemic pathology.
The state is so deeply fractured by bureaucratic infighting, political posturing, and chaotic policy vectors that it cannot provide a credible, bulletproof sovereign financial guarantee to underwrite hosting fees.
The institutional decay is so severe that South Africa can no longer be trusted to manage, maintain, or secure projects of this level of complexity.
In the brutal arena of global statecraft, historical prestige is completely worthless if you are priced out of the market as an operational danger.
Rwanda won this contract because it aggressively engineered international trust, while South Africa mismanaged its massive head start into total structural irrelevance.
F1 didn't bypass South Africa because of politics, it bypassed South Africa because of math.
The difference explained clearly.
CAPE TOWN vs JOBURG: Spot the difference! 🛑 ➡️ ✅
When a truck dislodged an N1 bridge on Saturday, the DA-led City of Cape Town worked non-stop to fix it by Monday. That’s the DA difference - a government that gets things done!
Meanwhile in Joburg, the failing ANC-EFF-PA-Al Jam-ah coalition leaves our crumbling bridges unsafe and neglected.
Joburg deserves a government that works!

No surprise ActionSA is already backing MK. Opportunism recognises opportunism
The @MkhontoweSizwex spokesperson has successfully opened a case against @helenzille
We as @Action4SA were there to witness & support.
No political leader will insult people on our watch! Not Dada, not Pemmy & not Helen!

Don’t let your children and grandchildren inherit your mistakes.

I don’ know how we are expected to take him seriously or why we tolerate his blatant disregard for his oath of office: “I swear/solemnly affirm that I will be faithful to the Republic of South Africa and will obey, respect and uphold the Constitution and all other law of the Republic….
Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader and Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, said that South Africa should suspend the constitution to fix our problems.

Looks the ANC has largely abandoned their local government campaign.
At this stage they would have been going hard trying to squeeze parties.
It hasnt come. Too terrified to announce mayoral candidates they have multiple possible mayoral contenders across cities.
This also isnt working because there is total lacklustre campaigning from branches.
Some candidates will not even get elected on the PR ballot so they will be eliminated anyway.
The party used to pride itself on being embedded in communities. Now their are volunteers being chased by people's dogs or having doors closed in their face. In fact, it seems to be the fashion to try and video these encounters and embarrass them.
The party is still fighting about who's fault it is that various folks were left off the PR list. Meanwhile branches are already taking these processes to court.
Total disaster. Ship doesnt have a mast, sails, rudder and the crew are rowing in opposing directions.
This:
The very inconvenient truth is that Johannesburg is a far more anti-poor city (and in effect anti-black) than Cape Town.
The collapse of basic services disproportionately impacts poor balck people who can’t insulate themselves from state failure.
Who can’t afford solar or inverters when the power goes out? Black people.
Who can’t afford a borehole for water? Black people.
Who can’t afford a car yet have zero functional BRT to take? Black people.
Who can’t get a job because corporates themselves can’t operate without basic services? Black people.
Johannesburg is inherently one of the most anti-black cities in SA.

‼️🚨 Gayton McKenzie has confirmed that the ANC will still control municipal councils with the help of smaller parties such as the PA, EFF, MK, IFP and the rest.
Splitting your vote between smaller parties will only help the ANC. Consolidate your vote behind the DA instead.
We want to govern to fight corruption. They want to govern to feed off it.
Voters must not be fooled again..
