Jalen Hurts on being benched in the CFP: "Me being emotional, what good with that have done to the guys around me? The joy of being able to hold up a national championship trophy & achieve that goal as a team, regardless of how I got there, it’s a joyful moment.” Elite teammate.

It's not easy doing God's work. Niall is undoubtedly the best of us.
I’ve been suffering from the worst depression for about 10 days now. Maybe a month really in total but it’s been a dark fog for 10 days. I’ve really had to dig so deep to try and get through it. As deep as I did when I had to give up drinking and ended up in hospital. As deep as when Tina, Snoop, Jumbo and Derek died within a few months. This wave of darkness has been especially bad. I’ve had to use all the tools I know. Breathing exercises. Walking alone. Talking to friends. It’s extra frustrating as I try to do everything right and it still keeps coming. As anybody who suffers knows the symptoms hitting me are… 🧠 Brain moving in slow motion. Thoughts are like molasses. Indecision. Lethargy etc. 😴 Incredibly poor sleep. Waking with anxiety 2-3 times a night. 😬 Small panic attacks where I can feel my heart thinking it might stop or explode. 😖 Extreme irritability. Even with my dogs and people and things I like. I like to share it because I think it can help others. People will say I have a lot on my plate with hospital builds and the scope of what we are doing. But to be honest I know how hard it is for a mother trying to get 2 kids to school. A young chef (used to me) who is addicted to booze and doesn’t know who to tell. An elderly person with a life of anxiety and no social circle. Every type of person in every walk of life can suffer. Since I’ve shared it I get messages from executives, sports people, performers, celebs and some of the most outwardly confident people in life. It can hit anybody. The 2 things I think about the most to try beat it are Tina and some of the dogs we’ve helped. Tina will get me through this tough phase and I’ll keep my promises to her. The other dogs in their homes with their wonderful humans show me why we do this. I need to get my spark back to help all those future dogs. To those who support and send me messages and leave comments it helps more than you’ll ever know. One of these mornings the sun will rise and things will click back to normal. It always does. Please look after yourselves and be kind to others as you never know what someone might be going through. ❤️

No one should feel bad for him, but gotta be a little weird to be Wyndham Clark knowing so many people are rooting for you to choke a little just to make today a little more interesting. #USOpen

Tupac Shakur once said, “I’m not saying I’m gonna change the world, but I guarantee that I will spark the brain that will change the world.” Shoutout to first grader JuJu, who performed Tupac’s “Dear Mama” at his school talent show—keeping Tupac’s spirit and message alive.

The TMZ-ification of the NFL is both stupid and hilarious at the same time. It’s a giant game of Whisper Down the Lane and society is now programmed to draw conclusions on things even though they’re only working off of very small fragments of information on it. In this age of social media there’s very little downside to reporting on rumor and conjecture as if it’s the stone cold truth. For those asking my thoughts on the matter, I’ll never comment on the rumor mill specifically and make it about the reporter(s), but I will say that nothing I’ve heard from people that I trust completely within the building leads me to believe there’s an issue like the one that’s rumored. The players and coaches all hold themselves to an extremely high standard, so frustration is to be expected. I’ve yet to hear of anyone make it about an individual, so I personally don’t give much of a shit until I hear it directly from anyone in the building.

2 cues to stop listening... Anybody says "Howard Eskin is reporting....." Shorr Parks says "In my opinion....."
ESP says the Eagles view Jihaad Campbell as an EDGE pass rusher: “He is [going outside]. That is where he is going to play. He'll play some [inside linebacker]...but in my opinion this is an edge player. That's how they view him… "Does he look like Nakobe Dean? He looks much more like Micah Parsons. He looks much more like Abdul Carter."

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles, my former teammates, and friends on being SB LIX Champions!! There were a lot of emotions last night, and now that I’ve collected my thoughts, I’ll attempt to share them in the longest tweet ever. That game was odd for me to watch if I’m being completely honest. I knew it was going to be mixed emotions before, during, and after, and I now know what my parents had to deal with two years ago. On one hand, I wanted what is best for my brother, and to see his success. And on the other hand, there are so many people, teammates, and coaches, in the Philadelphia Eagles organization that I care deeply about, Many of whom I owe my own success to throughout my career. I am very proud for Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianni, and this entire team. They have persevered greatly, answered their critics amazingly, and proved themselves to be undoubtedly the best team this season. It is extremely difficult for a team in the NFL to have enough talent, coaching, fortune, and character to win a Super Bowl. The character and swagger of this Eagles team was something truly special to behold. A true representation of the toughness and grit that makes Philadelphia what it is. Well done fellas, well fucking done. As for my brother, There isn’t a person I love or care about more. It has been tough to process these feelings, of course I feel for him and am always rooting for him, but I know he does not need, nor want my pity. He has amassed greatness few on this planet could ever dream of, as has his team, and they should feel pride in their accomplishments this season and in the past. I know right now they are still thinking of last night and the shortcomings in the last game, But in time that will fade, and the greatness they have exhibited as a group will remain as one of the most dominant eras of football ever. Man I love this sport, the people that play it, and the fans that enjoy it. Nothing else like it. Congratulations Philadelphia, I look forward to the speeches and celebrations that will happen in the coming days. I mean who doesn’t love a parade! In the words of Chase Utley “World Fucking Champs”, and to all the haters out there, remember what my man Jay Ajayi said “Fuck Em” Go Birds
