💙 Today, we remember the great Walter Smith. On the fifth anniversary of his passing, we remember with immense affection one of the greatest figures in Rangers Football Club's history.

"Sell United and f*k off home" sing MUFC fans, the only good thing about the club right now. And it's right. The Glazers have made their money many times over for 21 years. Fans never wanted it and that takeover should never have been allowed. Do the right thing: sell up and go.

💙 Today we remember all those who fought for our freedom and who made the ultimate sacrifice. Leading the teams on to the pitch today are veterans Gary Goodfellow and William Tan. Two sailors, two soldiers and two airmen will assist in today’s act of Remembrance as we remember all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. In remembrance of the fallen, we are wearing a unique poppy strip to pay our respects to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

A big protest at Drumcree last night, but the News Letter’s website leads with the Ulster Orchestra’s dance moves. While politicians play footsie over Drumcree, Rodney Edwards wants you to know he’s keeping his finger on the cultural pulse. If he keeps that up as editor, he’ll not be keeping time. He’ll be calling time. – at Belfast, Northern Ireland

Addressing thousands of people who gathered in Portadown for an Orange Order parade and rally last night, DUP Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart said: “Michelle O’Neill must go. That’s where I stand and this lady’s not for turning.” More here: itv.com/news/utv/2026-10-25/…

I didn’t see Emma there last night? Nor did I see Bro. Gavin Robinson? This is about more than a parade now, it’s about law and order being upheld, it’s about those in government being lawbreakers! Emma and Gavin are facilitating a law breaker being First Minister!
A stormy and cold night, but sending a strong message. People are rightly angry at the behaviour of those who have thumbed their nose at law and have defied the decisions of the parades commission, the courts and the PSNI. We are all deeply proud of our traditions and give them our absolute support- we have been deeply hurt and angered by the abuse and hatred our traditions, identity and culture has had to endure. Well done to all the bands and those who participated, and in such a dignified way. The lawful behaviour of the Orange and all those who support them is in stark contrast to those who opposed and oppose them.

That would be the same Colin Harvey - an Irish State Councillor, Professor of Human Rights Law at QUB and Irish Human Rights and Equality Commissioner - who is on record refusing to say if the IRA’s terrorist campaign was justified or justifiable.

Despite her senior colleagues downplaying the chances of Carla Lockhart leaving, she appears to be preparing to walk over Drumcree. Almost a decade ago, her party had 10 MPs. It now has half that number. And if 5 becomes 4, the DUP enters the danger zone. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/comme…

The huge crowd tonight in Portadown confirms the anger across the unionist community at the surrender to mob and potentially terrorist rule on Garvaghy Road and support for the demand that O’Neill Must Go. The message to Gavin Robinson is clear ‘Get off your knees and get that woman out’!

Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart has received quite the reception in Portadown. And not only that, she has also been gifted a Drumcree Jewel by District Master Nigel Dawson. The jewel is a collectible issued by Portadown District No. 1 following the first Drumcree standoff in 1995.

🗣️Speaking at tonight’s rally in support of the Portadown Orange Order, DUP MP Carla Lockhart says “Michelle O’Neill must go”. ‼️This follows her recent resignation as a party officer amid a disagreement with DUP leader Gavin Robinson. 📣The row comes as Robinson refuses to pull Emma Little-Pengelly’s position, which would automatically remove the First Minister from office. 🥁Despite the weather warnings, our reporter Emily Brown saw thousands of supporters and 29 bands attend the rally.
