Pat Murphy might have just singlehandedly saved our National Pastime!
By instilling teamwork and accountability into his team of mostly non superstars he showed us what can happen when you put the team above yourself and get everyone pulling in the same direction!
Thanks Murph!

No shot the @ProspectLeague is at the bottom of the charts. I have worked in several of these leagues over the years and it is definitely a tier 1 league. It’s as good if not better than the Northwoods.

The Brewers are being celebrated like they invented baseball.
They are doing things that have become unusual.
They have an old school tough manager who players love playing for.
They focus on basic easy to understand basic fundamentals.
They have a hitting coach that was an overachieving player for skill that played in the big leagues.
They hit the ball the other way.
They value putting the ball in play.
They adjust their approach based on situation and count.
They are not addicted to exit velocity and launch angle bullshit.
They bunt and steal bases.
They do not have selfish superstars that need to be treated like celebrities.
The Brewers simply play the game how it was meant to be played.

Nolan Ryan became the first pitcher radar-clocked in a major league game at 100.8 mph on September 7, 1974. He later finished with 5,714 strikeouts and seven no-hitters, both MLB records, plus 324 wins. The velocity was historically measurable.
Somehow the career that followed made the fastball feel like only the beginning of the story. That 1974 reading also came from equipment measuring the ball much closer to the plate than today's guns do, so I think a modern radar would have put Ryan comfortably above that number.

Wanna know why there was about 40 or 50 guys that hit over .300 in the mid 90s, & maybe 5 that will this season? Because social media has made absolute morons like this guy a hitting guru.
But what about Barrel Depth?
That’s what all the #gurus who couldn’t hit teach!
Just start the swoosh behind you and you will magically make contact right?
That’s what @Teacherman1986 and his minions teach!
