Before Twitter or X was a “thing” … Batesline was our family “go to” for state/local information. Still is.

MORMONISM IS NOT BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY!
The Mormon Church can plaster Jesus across its website, quote Scripture, and use Christian terminology. That doesn’t make it Christian.
Mormonism rejects the biblical Trinity, teaches that humans can become gods, and proclaims a different understanding of Jesus.
This isn’t another Christian denomination. It’s a heretical religious system promoting a counterfeit gospel.
Don’t be deceived by the packaging.
“If any man preach any other gospel unto you… let him be accursed.” — Galatians 1:9

Happy Opener, South Dakota! Foster and I wish you good luck in the field!
Pheasant hunting is part of who we are, and it’s a tradition worth passing on to our kids and grandkids.
As Governor, I partnered with landowners to start the Second Century Initiative, helping turn marginal land into wildlife habitat so the next generation can enjoy the same hunting traditions we grew up with.

I’m currently at a pro-life gala.
May I never experience this again.
I can see clearly now why pro-lifers are impotent and deactivated.
@AbolitionRising conferences are infinitely better.
Leave the pro-life movement, become an abolitionist.

C.S. Lewis; Aslan sings and a world distinct from himself comes into existence. (Creator - creation & creature distinction faithfully rendered preserved)
Greta Gerwig’s imagery; Aslan appears continuous with the cosmic substance from which the new world emerges. Emanation and immanence encoded.
Not the same metaphysics at all
Cosmic Christ Consciousness is very much the Zeitgeist on so many fronts currently (and has been for quite some time - ramping up a lot now). Lewis recognized that trick when he saw it. I’m sure it will probably fascinate, enchant and captivate many Lewis fans, unfortunately.
Replying to @annielcrawford
Feedback from actual Narnia fans: this makes me levitate out of my seat. Gerwig managed to literally capture what the birth of a world could look like if it wasn’t actually unfilmable

Here's your pro-life law in action, providing immunity for a murderer.
“She’s immune.”
That’s what Jocelyn Byrum’s defense told the court — claiming SC law shields her even after she intentionally took abortion pills to kill her 27‑week unborn daughter.
The baby survived 👶
She’s in state custody 🏛️
And the defense says the law requires zero accountability ❌⚖️
This loophole exists because pro‑life groups demanded maternal immunity and helped write it into law. Now it’s a shield for intentional acts that nearly killed a child. 🛡️🔥
The Solicitor called the argument “absurd.”
He’s right.
What’s truly absurd is that pro‑life groups built this loophole — and still defend it — while victims like this unborn child get no justice. 😡👶
A law that excuses intentional killing is reprehensible 🚫
Not justice.
Not biblical. 📖

When you watch baseball with your kids, you shouldn't have to hold the remote the whole time. But watching the postseason series has been one of the most anxious things I’ve done as a parent. The ads are R-rated on both @FOXSports and @NBCSports
I’m a dad of three boys and three girls. I like the idea of having a game on together, answering their questions about a play, arguing over a call, and giving them someone to cheer for.
Parents shouldn’t have to check every ad before deciding if the game can stay on. We literally mute it and close the hutch doors during commercial breaks.
A kid can fall in love with baseball on an ordinary night on the couch, sitting next to someone who already loves the game. That’s something worth protecting.
Hey @MLB - wanna get more kids watching baseball?
Maybe start with the commercials.
Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here's the rundown:
- Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit
- The scariest movie trailer you've ever seen
- Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports
Leagues can't figure out why kids don't watch.
You don't need a Nickelodeon game. You're not the Savannah Bananas.
Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.

This is literally a current Major League Baseball player on the Los Angeles Dodgers calling out the MLB for their horrific commercials. Do something about it @MLB
Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, @MLB? My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked women could come on screen anytime?? This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this.

We need to have a conversation about commercials on national TV broadcasts. Specifically R-rated horror films.
Really not trying to be a prude but I have my 4 y/o turn away and cover ears 3-4 times when watching NFL, NCAA FB and other sports prime time content. It’s ridiculous.

This sounds impossible, but it is true.
A Rasmussen Reports / Our Republic poll of 1,026 likely U.S. voters (conducted Sept. 20, 2026) found that 43% of those ages 18-24 and 39% of those ages 25-29 have a mostly or somewhat positive view of Sharia law.
What accounts for this major shift away from American values?
One answer: Pathological Altruism.
Young voters—especially the dumbest and most corruptible among them, the Democrat voters—view Muslims as an “oppressed or marginalized group,” leading them to default to sympathy for related policies without even weighing compatibility with the Constitution or individual rights.

As an agent of the state, a Christian can absolutely serve in an executioner capacity with no soteriological implications because Scripture ordains both the act and the role.
However, the job weighs on the conscience of even just men. Firing squads used to fire 10 rifles, 9 with blanks and 1 with a lethal round so as to leave the reality of which rifle executed the person unknown.
Israel is a paradigmatic people. God’s laws were given to them as they lived under a theocracy, which they failed to keep.
No nation lives under a theocracy today, but the principles remain and still inform NT truth.
These laws also show us the nature, characteristics, and attributes of God.
The argument using the woman caught in adultery is not a silver bullet against the death penalty.
We learn many things about the 2nd person of the Godhead and about the heart of man, but abolishing capital punishment is not among the lessons. This is a poor hermeneutic to arrive at such a conclusion.
Keep in mind, Jesus did not advocate for either of the malefactors at Golgotha to be spared, even though one repented mere moments before his legs were broken and he suffocated and passed into Paradise as promised.
God instated the death penalty. We have not evolved beyond its necessity. We only think we have because Scripture is not esteemed as authoritative. Men think their way is superior, more merciful, and wiser than their Creator’s.
Israel, under theocratic rule, was a community of faith. It was like a big family. In all of their law, you will not find a command to build prisons to house the murderer. They have prisons today, but they did not have them originally.
This is because the offender was in a civil case was to be penalized but not isolated from the community.
However, in a capital case, the offender was to be stoned. Every man if the community was to have their hand in the stoning and they were to do so without pity that they may put away evil from among them.
This was one of six outcomes of their judicial system under theocracy.
Now, we are not a theocracy so some requirements for Israel do not bear weight on us, but no matter which form of government a people has, the death penalty remains because the offense is against God and the state, not just a family.
Scripture never appeals to long incarcerations in the hopes of one’s salvation, that is not the function of the state, safety if the society is the goal.
When we treat the Bible as if the NT obsoletes the old rather than combines to give a fuller picture of the divine and his work of redemption, we fail to see justice correctly. It becomes distorted and lopsided…it overlooks the reality of sure and certain judgment.
Heb 9:27

If you're Christian, tell me if you'd personally execute a convict on death row and be confident of your own salvation. Think about what Jesus said to those who wanted to stone the woman.
And to answer your first point, no one is asking for proven murderers to be let loose on the streets. We have facilities to lock them in. What we should never give up is the hope for a man or a woman to change. We have no right to take that opportunity away from anyone.
