<6 months until a startup gives one of these humanoid robots an AR-15 and raises a $500m seed round.

It’s possible that NotebookLM podcast episode generation is touching on a whole new territory of highly compelling LLM product formats. Feels reminiscent of ChatGPT. Maybe I’m overreacting.

Venture capital isn't validation, its acceleration. And that can be a good or bad thing.

Kinda insane that this entire debacle was potentially caused by @ByrneHobart's newsletter. Here's how the butterfly effect happened. 1) Byrne posts this article/Tweet calling out SVB's risk. 2) Pretty much every VC I know reads this newsletter 3) They all start to pay very, very close attention to SVB earnings 4) Absolutely massive earnings miss by SVB 5) Peter Thiel, USV, and Coatue are first to send out messages/mass emails to portfolio co's to pull out funds 6) Tech Twitter catches word of this 7) Bank Run 8) Collapse 9) If FDIC/Buyer doesn't come in, in the next 7 days, potential 20%+ collapse of entire startup industry. All started by one overly prolific dude in Austin. Amazing.
Also in today's newsletter: Silicon Valley Bank was, based on the market value of their assets, technically insolvent last quarter and is now levered 185:1.

fun fact: Sam Altman always carries this "nuclear backpack" he can use to remotely detonate data centers if GPT goes rogue

#OpenAI's ChatGPT is ready to become a lawyer, it passed a practice bar exam! Scoring 70% (35/50). Guessing randomly would happen < 0.00000001% of the time

Wow - this was not what I hoped for. Not selling - but man we need some more clarity on the way forward. @AzukiOfficial @ZAGABOND teapawt.net/i/spaces/1MnxnkZDgeLKO

Some big news to share today: Yuga has acquired the CryptoPunks and Meebits collections from @LarvaLabs, and the first thing we’re doing is giving full commercial rights to the NFT holders. Just like we did for BAYC and MAYC owners.

Kind of hilarious how everyone loves big VCs investing in NFT projects when it’s “my bags” and calls it web2/centralization/sellout when it’s someone else’s
