My thoughts on the recent guest-pastor sermon at @firstmckinney #christians #muslims #otherreligions #mckinney
I didn’t want to spend my night at city Council. But something needed to be said. Our town is being used as a political pawn. We can stand up to @SelfForCongress and @KeresaForTexas
How is this not bigger news?
@SelfForCongress pandered to Muslims to get elected, meeting in their homes and taking large checks. He boasted about protecting their religious freedoms in America. Now he’s trying to crucify #mckinney leadership for following law.
It’s hard to hate up close.
McKinney has had a peaceful Muslim community for decades and a mosque at Hardin & Eldorado since 2014. Extremism is real and should be confronted, but it isn’t happening here. Get to know your Muslim neighbors. Ignore hypocrite @SelfForCongress
Recall petitioners insist this is “not about the mosque,” yet Keith Self is using the mosque to rally support. He courted Muslim voters and donors while praising their First Amendment rights. Now he attacks McKinney leaders for following law. @SelfForCongress @KeresaForTexas
