Dear U.S. government,
A hearing with no actionable items is a waste of time, a waste of resources, and of no help to the nation.
Quit having fertilizer hearings if you are not going to do anything to help.
Sincerely,
The U.S. farmer

Australia’s farm sector is sending a warning the world can’t ignore.
Farmers are now shifting away from wheat and canola into barley — not because of demand, but because fertilizer and diesel costs are exploding.
The numbers are brutal:
Urea: +60%
Diesel: +88%
Wheat planting could fall 10–12%
This is how a supply shock spreads through the global food system.
When one of the world’s top wheat exporters starts planting less nitrogen-intensive crops, it’s not just an Australian story.
It’s a signal that global grain output is about to tighten.
The market is still obsessed with oil.
But the bigger second-order move is happening in fertilizer → crop choice → yield risk → food inflation.
This is exactly how the next agricultural commodity rally begins. 🌾📈🔥

Arlan Suderman says that his boots on the ground are saying China has already bought 6 mmt of the 12 mmt they agreed to buy from the USA. He did a good job breaking down the market on agritalk yesterday. He analyzes the China situation well. omny.fm/shows/market-rally/a…
I wish the Donald Trump and Xi could call and visit instead of making social media posts that greatly affect the people and businesses of both countries. This seems incorrect and harmful to American and Chinese people

🇪🇺The EU sharply cut its 2025/26 corn production forecast by more than 4% from last month. The crop is now set to fall more than 3% on the year.
Anyone think Stone X and the usda need to be looked at for conspiring against the American farmer? They had very similar yield projections that damaged the corn market.

Wonder why farmers are shitting themselves when they aren't getting the rains? This gives you a pretty good idea.
In the past 13 years farmer inputs have increased by 68%
Equipment costs up 75%
Commercial seed up 49%
Fertilizer prices have doubled.
This is not sustainable.

We have been watching this develop for some time and now it looks as if it has become reality. The lower U.S. dollar and depressed prices should get some attention soon

The Trump administration stepped in today and issued an emergency waiver to allow the sale of higher-ethanol gasoline blend to be sold across the nation this summer.
This comes as the EPA has been under pressure to issue a nationwide emergency waiver allowing E15 fuel sales during the 2025 summer driving season.
