Now that NBA twitter had its annual "we need less hoops" hot takes, out of curiosity has anyone asked why NBA training camp is 3 days, leading to a 2-week preseason where teams play as little as 4 games and the starters barely work?
When did we decide training didn't matter?

“Yes, Detroit will need to address the bullpen, but this is still a deep roster that underperformed in 2026.”
So who sits at No. 1 after the Brewers historic title run? 👀

This is such a great way to take advantage of defenses playing off of Ausar
1) Fade Duncan to the spot next to Ausar
2) Immediately run a DHO to force Ausar’s defender to contest Duncan’s shot
3) Hit Ausar on the roll if Duncan doesn’t have an open shot
More of this in the offense, please!

What happened that this suit comes up damn near 40 years after she moved in?!?
Stevie Wonder is suing to evict Carmen Efferson, his reported former fiancée, from a Los Angeles home where she has lived rent-free since 1988.
The lawsuit alleges that the dispute began after Efferson refused to allow an insurance inspection, while a new report says she was shocked by the legal action and believed Wonder had promised her the house.

It's a week into the season and the NBA is averaging the most possessions per game, shortest average possession length, highest average pickup distance, and most possessions with at least three offensive players crashing in the tracking era. Playing very hard for 82 games!

Malik Beasley, a nine-year NBA veteran, has agreed to plead guilty to federal charges stemming from a Department of Justice investigation into illegal sports gambling, his attorney told The Athletic. He will plead on Dec. 9 in Brooklyn.
“A 7% single-year drop is stunning and bad. Is it a warning sign? It should be for public health officials... State and local officials are going to have to start funding sports options for kids in these communities as the private options are increasingly out of sight.”

Not the *biggest* problem in college football, but telling 10 Big Ten fanbases they have to wait until six days before a game to know whether it's a noon, afternoon or night game is still ridiculous.
The Big Ten gets a pro-level paycheck, but no pro sports league does this.

Reminder: this will be the final year that Alabama and LSU play an annual game.
Tide and Tigers will not meet during the 2027 season for the first time since 1963.
LSU next comes to Tuscaloosa in 2028, and Alabama after next week won't go to Baton Rouge for a regular season game until at least 2030 (the SEC has only finalized schedules through 2029).
