He is a New God whose strength, durability, and Omega Beams make him a nightmare for almost anyone who stands against him. He has battled some of DC’s greatest heroes, including Superman, and his ambitions go far beyond conquering a planet. His ultimate goal is domination on a universal scale and beyond. SO, WHO WINS? If we’re comparing their standard movie portrayals, Thanos has the advantage in strategy and experience, but Darkseid’s full comic-book version is operating on a much higher level than his live-action counterpart. My verdict: DARKSEID wins when we compare their mainstream comic-book versions without giving Thanos the completed Infinity Gauntlet. His powers, abilities, and overall scale of threat give him the edge. Give Thanos the complete Infinity Gauntlet, though, and the entire debate changes. Who are you backing: Thanos or Darkseid?
