The Carnegie R1 designation is a huge honor for the University of Mississippi. It appropriately recognizes the great work our faculty, staff, and students do to advance the horizons of knowledge and create a better world. – at Oxford, MS
Once again, the University of Mississippi is included in the elite group of R1: Doctoral Universities – Very High Research Activity. –– rebs.us/ak8j30n1rwK

Today, the calendar makes a right triangle, for the last time this century. This Saturday is October 24, 2026. Write it as 10/24/26 or 24/10/26, and the same beautiful relationship appears: 10² + 24² = 26² 100 + 576 = 676 But here’s what makes today special. There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples. Only a handful fit our calendar. Using the rule month² + day² = (last two digits of the year)², the month cannot exceed 12, and the day cannot exceed 31. Those small limits leave exactly 12 qualifying dates in this century. Today is the last. The next will be March 4, 2105: 3² + 4² = 5² That is a wait of more than 78 years. An infinite family of triangles. Just twelve appearances on a century’s calendar. Happy Pythagorean Triple Day.

💥NEW: Jillian Michaels: “What I find so funny is that Obama — who shamed all of the black men for not voting for Harris — then went to fricking Virginia and campaigned AGAINST the black woman who’s a Marine … FOR a WHITE liberal who worked for the CIA.”

When I said this throughout my campaign, CNN people called me cruel and unhinged. Now, after they helped secure the election for the 2 dorks responsible for all these problems, CNN is now echoing my campaign talking points as gospel. Fascinating!

This was spot on the best post of the day. We have been separated so much by propaganda— once you see through it your life is forever changed. Europe is a beautiful continent. The United States is a beautiful country. And we don’t want our politicians ruining it.
What the World Cup has shown us so far: Propaganda has worked immensely. Americans are taught that our country is nothing special. Europeans are taught that America is a horrible country. Europeans visiting are reminding us that none of it is true.

Re the Notre Dame vs Miami CFP question, consider that Miami's win was in the season opener (and very close). Since then, Miami has not beaten a ranked team but did lose to two UNranked teams, and couldn't even get into the finals of their woeful conference. ND is better.

⚜️SUPER BOWL LIX! ⚜️ I live in New Orleans and want to welcome all of you to a glimpse of Bourbon Street on this fantastic Super Bowl Sunday! I believe nobody knows how to throw a party like New Orleans does! If you disagree with me, that's okay! I respect your right to do so; but please don't expect me to agree with you - because I won't! Okay? 😉😂 Laissez les bons temps rouler - let the good times roll!

For the scoop on the best places to get New Orleans' favorite sandwich — the iconic oyster poboy (a.k.a. oyster loaf) — and more, follow OysterLoafer on Instagram and/or Facebook. Don't miss it! (Apparently there's an OysterLoafer also on Twitter, but that's not it!) #YeahYouRite
