There are people who consistently stand in your corner, who believe in you, who push you to excel, who give everything for you. Those people don’t deserve half of a commitment from you. That’s insulting. Prove their belief in you is warranted by always giving 100% of yourself!

Either you make it happen or you don’t. Excuses are not valid reasons for why you can’t achieve something you “want.” If you “want” it then go get it!

Parents: Kids have to become accustomed to making choices for themselves. Responsibility is essential for maturity. You can’t always protect them. Give them advice & room to grow, let them stand on their own two feet & fight their own battles. Don’t protect them; PREPARE them!

How you do anything in life is how you do everything. Name a player who’s late for class, disrespects their teachers/coaches/parents, never keeps their word, doesn’t complete school work, always has a bad attitude/excuse, but is otherwise a great teammate. Don’t worry, I’ll wait!

There comes a time in your life when you have to quit running toward comfort & attack your fears. Here’s the good news: you’re always one decision away from a totally different life. The challenge is that it’s hard to quit running away from what you’re afraid of. Face your fears!

Was fortunate enough 2 get recruited by Roy Williams. We didn’t discuss the NBA, starting or minutes. I knew it was going 2 B hard & it was harder than I imagined. More importantly, he was an example, leader, & teacher, that showed me how 2 B successful. #WorkHardSmartUnselfish

Players: What are your priorities this summer? Working out? Chilling? Netflix? Or is it weight room? Eating right? Gym time? Your habits/decisions reveal your priorities. Don’t wait. This is separation season! Everyone will know what you did all summer by what you do next season!
