I cant stress that I never once heard anything about unity at any door I knocked in the multiple swing districts I canvassed in and all of which turned blue.
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face. These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy. While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

If you're interested in the question of what is a good model for political success, it's useful to compare his performance to other federal candidates for office in Michigan. He's far from the worst — that's Will Lawrence, white leftist — but he's below average.

This is the key point from Mamdani. Yeah, sure, obsess over swings and under and over performance all day long if that’s your thing. But once Dems have won, narrowly or not, what do those Dems do with actual power? Not just to improve people’s lives but also to *stay* in power?
Zohran Mamdani: “It’s not enough for us as Democrats to win power. We have to use that power to deliver change that Americans can feel in their wallets. When you look at these campaigns, if we want to speak about James Talarico, he campaigned on a vision for universal childcare. If you want to talk about Keisha Lance Bottoms, she campaigned on a vision of cutting red tape to build housing. If you want to talk about Jocelyn Benson, she campaigned on a moratorium for data centers. What I’m excited to see now is a recognition that the work is only just starting and this has to be delivered for working people across the country”

.@JamesTalarico: We have a mandate the size of Texas now. We’ve got to get big money out of our politics so no trillionaire can buy an election, unrig this economic system that only benefits the top 1%, pass universal healthcare so that no one goes bankrupt just because they get sick, invest in our teachers and our students so every underdog has a fighting chance, and end these corrupt forever wars that are driving up prices. This shouldn’t be just Democrats. This should be Democrats and Republicans and the president coming together to make this change.

Angie Nixon is an incredible fighter who almost turned Florida blue! We are proud to have supported her, which is why we want to do it again. In light of her instagram teaser, we are endorsing @AngieNixon for the 2028 FL Senate seat.

The notion that Abdul El-Sayed didn’t do as well as he could have relative to the rest of the ticket doesn’t even make any sense Jocelyn Benson got 2,594,262 and El-Sayed got 2,500,450 considering the non-stop fear mongering about Abdul, his name, his family history, his religion, his politics.. it didn’t even dissuade 100,000 people to split the ticket

It’s sad to see Haley Stevens become a tool of this hate. All racism & religious bigotry is reprehensible, but what’s especially vile about the anti-Muslim attacks on Abdul El-Sayed is that they’re state-sponsored, coming from the mouths of Trump, Vance, RFK Jr. & the like. Vote Abdul El-Sayed.

Haley Stevens has spent a long time telling us what she prioritizes and it's not American democracy or Black owned businesses. A sadly predictable yet profoundly dangerous turn of events.
Replying to @samueljrob
Stevens says she’s for investing in Black owned businesses. “And that’s the policy that Mike’s going to take on,” Stevens says.
