Make a mistake? Have a “next pitch” mentality! The next pitch is all that matters. Keep your head in the game… odds are you will have a chance to help the team later. Maybe the very next pitch or towards the end of the game. You just never know when the next opportunity will show itself… Baseball rewards those who can stay locked in.

D3 doesn’t ban athletic scholarships by accident. It bans them on purpose.
No scholarship = no pressure to treat sports like a job. Athletes stay students first. Why is that an issue? Result of their approach? Highest graduation rates in the NCAA, the most participants, and kids who actually play for the love of the game.
Force scholarships and you kill the only division that still operates as the last form of amateurism in the country.

Ask a former baseball player what he misses.
You’ll hear about the dugout. Batting practice. The bus rides. The guys.
Very few mention their batting average.
Funny how the numbers feel like everything when you’re playing, and the people become everything when you’re done.

For D3s looking for a shooter...
6-3 shooting guard Kaleb Istvanik is available. Looking for a school where he can play the next 3 years and earn a degree in Education.
Family move led him to Florida...currently attending Southeastern University in Lakeland (just as a student).
Had several D3 offers out of HS (Wheaton Academy '26). Looking to pick a good school and get back to hooping. Based on school/hoops fit willing to consider anywhere in the country.
Contact info is on his X profile.

Honoring a legend! Such a joy to celebrate and preserve the vast accomplishments of the best human being I have ever met. Spending the morning with Itch’s family is a memory I will cherish forever.

Really uncharacteristic showing by IWU's defense. That unit has been so good this season.

IWU played its last 2 CCIW regular season games last year without Noah Cleveland (at NPU, at Augie)...and both CCIW conf tourney games (vs NPU, vs Elmhurst). Won all 4.
Boxscore from the first of those below - rotation looked something like this for those games w/out Noah.
The most significant guy IWU lost is 6-5 guard Karlo Colak - he had a great year for the Titans.
IWU has Funk, Kuehl, Lawrence, Niego, C. Williams, Kemp back...plus Josh Fridman back from injury.
Brady Ruggles (D1 transfer last year/Air Force) is back. Should be some JV guys and 1-2 FR ready to step in.
IWU will be a very different team this year without Noah Cleveland...but should be very good.

I've had it with @Starbucks , today is the last day I have the lid pop off of a hot cup of coffee and spill all over my car while driving. Never happens with @dunkindonuts cups. Starbucks can do better but chooses not to.
