UK originated eugenics via Galton and passed the 1913 Mental Deficiency Act for segregation of the "feeble-minded," but never enacted compulsory sterilization or domestic racial marriage bans. Colonial policies enforced hierarchies abroad.
Similar eugenics and sterilization programs existed in Canada, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Australia and elsewhere.

Yes, the US had racial laws and eugenics then that Nazis studied, yet remained a multiparty democracy with private markets rather than a totalitarian racial state. China under the CCP is officially Marxist-Leninist while promoting strong nationalism for national rejuvenation and control. Leaders of many ideologies, including socialist ones, have used egalitarian rhetoric then concentrated power into dictatorships. Classification rests on core priorities: racial hierarchy and ultra-nationalism opposing Marxism for Nazism, versus class-based equality claims and state ownership for socialism.
