Interesting article on what beer goes with which glass.

Finally visited @brockleybrewery bigger site at Hither Grn. Now something of a veteran founded 2013, still doing a fair amount of cask, enjoyed the fine XPA. Good crowd including local families, comfy taproom, decent food truck, surprisingly welcoming amid the likes of Screwfix! – at Greenwich, London

Just been looking @worldbeerawards 2023 Winners. I was fortunate enough to judge the Flemish Reds, all of which were a delight. Well done to @Sosab for their Flemish Red Ale XII getting the World’s Best Sour & Wild Beer Award. It had some really strong competition.
Ooops it's 4pm, I should be pouring a beer? Thunder and rain outside at present but the late great Joe Cocker is helping pass the afternoon.

I had hoped they were going to chauffeur me around Bury St Edmunds in it yesterday 😁

Great point made here.
With pubs long being sitting ducks for cynical disposal, it would help greatly if statutory listings were not just about historical merit but could be broadened to protect any buildings that are central to an area's "essence of place".
@CampaignforPubs
This was our local when we lived nearby - shame though that I think the skittles table is no more. Great landlord at the time was Ken Barrel (hope I got that right) and his good lady wife.
Great visit to "the Devvy", Devonshire Arms, Bedford, a wet-only pub 5 cask ales. @WeareWellsandCo pub, may be first one opened by Charlie Wells in 19th C. Landlord Ronnie Toms is a great character & serves fans of Bedford Blues Rugby Club. Not to be missed -- a gem @brewpointuk
