Is there any issue that Johnathan Perkins won’t spin into a grift for his personal benefit?
Pathetic. Go mow some yards or something. Stop using women’s issues - cancer, assault, etc - to grift.
Johnathan Perkins uses anything in the news to grift🙄
He wasn’t fired bc of emails about rape kits or bc of his posts about Charlie Kirk - he was fired bc he’s unprofessional and a bigot. His firing wasn’t ‘illegal’ - he was fired bc his posts violate UCLAs policies and damage
I’m sure Johnathan Perkins’ prospective employers will enjoy knowing he’s a sociopath before they hire him
Sociopaths of a feather…
#JohnathanPerkins #UCLA @UCLA
Johnathan Perkins closed his twitter account to hide his bigoted, misogynistic and antisemitic tweets. He’s been blacklisted bc his behavior online is unprofessional for a lawyer in his position (DEI) not because of a few tweets about Charlie Kirk. #UCLA
Hopefully my next employer will like sociopaths with PDA autism, like me! @UCLA didn’t want me, but if you’re looking for a sociopath with pathological demand avoidance autism to ruin your firms’ reputation, hit me up!

Having now read through @buttonslives article and many of her comments responding to critiques, I am ready to deliver my final verdict.
There are two charitable interpretations:
1. Buttons is not autistic and was misdiagnosed because her behaviours seemed close enough to autism and autism in only diagnosed by external behaviours and her assessor was not thorough enough and did not consider differentials.
2. Buttons still obviously has some version of level 1 autism but has developed adequate coping and management strategies for it (good) so doesn't feel like the label serves a functional purpose anymore. She also finds the neurodiversity crowd and the way they think about autism to be deeply annoying and doesn't want to be associated with them (relatable TBH).
I thought I was autistic. I was wrong.
I was 30 in 2019 when stories of women discovering they were autistic all along began appearing everywhere.
They popularized a newer understanding of autism, with its own “female presentation.” It was framed as a scientific correction to a historical wrong against women, the kind of narrative the press finds irresistible.
Like so many women, I felt immense relief when I was formally diagnosed. It offered an explanation for the mental health crises of my youth and the daily realities of my adult life.
Then I spent a year in the online autism community. What I saw there, especially the way activists treated parents of severely impaired children, turned me into a critic of neurodiversity.
But it was becoming a journalist in 2022, after discovering detransitioners’ stories, that forced me to question narratives about identity and diagnosis, including my own. Journalism also required the social skills autism says I should have lacked.
From there, the rest unraveled: many traits I had come to associate with autism are not uncommon in the general population, but through the “female autism” framework, they looked like a meaningful pattern.
I don’t think my story is unique. The same incentives that kept my diagnosis intact may also help explain why so many women are entering the autism category in adulthood.

Alternative medicine.
Integrative Medicine.
Functional Medicine.
None of these are medicine.
They are marketing scams.
They’re deceptive and illusory Trojan-horse labels designed precisely to sneak pseudoscience into health care.

Self-diagnosis isn't saying that you suspect that you might have something, it is saying that you do have something. If you are in the "I suspect" phase, you are not self-diagnosed.

I know so many adults who suddenly decided they were autistic within the last 5 or so years who I feel very strongly are most likely not. Half the time their reason for saying they’re autistic seems to come down to “I’m awkward” or “I have this one thing I have a special interest in.” (Who doesn’t?)
The term “neurodivergent” in general has become so vague that it now seems to be taken on as a label by anyone who’s even a little quirky.

If you would rather "make a statement" than win elections, you are privileged. You are not living in fear of losing your healthcare, your income, your food security, your freedoms. Your gross sense of self importance is rivaled only by your glaring ignorance of lived reality.

A disorder is not inherently stigmatising, what IS stigmatising is glossing over disorder by saying it's a bad word and must be erased via euphemistic psychobabble.

The people who behave in this manner do a disservice to everyone, including those who are actually autistic. A big contributor to the collective knee-jerk reaction of distrust and skepticism towards "autism" is due to these self-appointed diagnostic evangelists.
Almost without fail, after I share my BPD recovery story, strangers slide into my DMs to inform me I'm actually autistic.
They never keyboard diagnose me with anything else.
But they never tell me what criteria they're using to make this determination.
It's almost like they think autism is a catch-all diagnosis. Where they got that idea, I haven't the foggiest.
