When Iโve grown up with this, I just canโt deal with full-grown male professionals in shorts. Weโve fallen so far.
Iโm sorry but thatโs my policy.

โThe National Senior Mastersโ is no more. Played it many times and as a past member it was nice to go back there once a year.
I guess they are just rationalising no. of tournaments held. Anyone know why?
Wish weโd do the same. We had 11 this year which is frankly way too many.๐คจ
See this is where I have a problem.
That Par/Course rating might have made sense in 1970, but an elite golfer would now kill those par 5s with driver &
6 iron (or less).
An elite golfer used to be SCR but now itโs +4, owing to course ratings not updated for modern equipment.
#Halloween is the eve of All Soulsโ Day, a day where Christians remember the dearly departed. Itโs an evening, and day for quiet reflection when you might visit the graves of lost family members and offer a quiet prayer.
But we have made it a cheap, vulgar spectacle. Pity. ๐ค
I find it creepy to get birthday greetings from businesses & random strangers, especially politicians. Itโs basically stalking.
Donโt waste taxpayer money on frivolous nonsense, Dr Holland. Weโve never met you.
More proof that the Public Sector is too big. ๐คจ

Itโs amazing how much difference a shaft makes to a club.
I found a Srixon 3w head that I liked but hated how it played. Tried another shaft, still horrible.
Finally put in an old Diamana 3W shaft I had lying around, and presto!โฆplays like a dream.
Club Fittingโฆold style. ๐
Thanks for sharing @necky_fade
Barnes was a great character, not because of his partying, but because he was a big man, with a big personality and a big game.
His on course antics, the pipe, the shorts, were legendary.
โWhaโs like Barnsey noo? Damn few, and theyโre aโ deidโ.

Modern life is now ridiculous.

Sad to see oneโs favourite players struggle to retain privileges for next yr.
Pepperell, talented & engaging but a touch of the dilettante about him.
Manassero, boy genius who promised so much but went a bit mad.
I hope they make. We need more variety.
@DPWorldTour ๐
Iโve had a couple of @PingTour sets going back to the 80s and with good memories.
Recently picked up a nice set of i230 irons for a good price. Look great but had zero feel.
Checked and all were C8-C9 SW, with 105g shafts.
Fixed now but how did they leave the factory? ๐ค

I wonder if @helenhainesindi is aware that @NDIS does not apply if injured after age 65.
She will need massive assistance.
A friend of mine became paraplegic 2 weeks after his 65th birthday and got nothing.
Considering the waste and corruption, itโs a National disgrace.
Thereโs only one thing worse than an idiot.
And thatโs an idiot who jumps to conclusions.

Pauline Hanson is personally responsible for ramping up a culture of hysterical HATE towards politicians & now Helen Haines is critically injured by a nutter outside her own electoral office. I see a direct link between the two. Hanson should tell her hoons to stand down. #auspol
Shocking.
Buy cotton clothing.
Buy woollen clothing.
There is a mountain of unworn clothes in the driest desert on earth, large enough to be photographed from space. It grows by 39,000 tons a year and almost none of it will ever rot.
The Atacama, in northern Chile, is a place where it may not rain for a decade. On its edge is a duty-free port called Iquique. Every year about 59,000 tons of clothing arrives there from Europe, America and Asia. It is last season's stock that never sold, and the bags people leave at charity shops.
Dealers pick through it for anything they can resell across South America. Two thirds of it is worthless. Nobody will pay to ship it back out, so lorries drive it into the desert at night and tip it.
The local landfill refuses to take it. The reason given is that the clothing does not biodegrade and is full of chemicals. Most of it is polyester, which is plastic, and in a place with no rain and no soil life it will lie there for centuries. Some of it is set alight, and the smoke drifts over a town of 100,000 people.
In 2025 a Chilean court ruled that the dumps had done serious damage to the land.
For most of history this could not have happened. Clothes were wool, linen and leather. They were worn out, handed down and patched, and at the very end a rag merchant paid for the scraps. In Yorkshire, from 1813, old woollens were shredded and spun into new cloth. Anything left went on the fields, where wool breaks down in months and feeds the grass.
Nobody ever had to find a desert for worn-out wool. We invented a fabric that cannot die, and then we started making it to be thrown away.
