This is the map for Alberta showing support for the NDP - most of the province has low support. The NDP supporters are mostly attracted to the city centers - And also Banff/Canmore. A question I have thought about for awhile now is if we would be better governed if the cities acted like city-states and the province acted in relationship tot hem rather then trying to force everyone under one system. If a clear divide is obvious (and it is) why are we trying to force obviously different groups to be governed all the same? Would you support city-states? There are many examples all over the world. And I would say that Calgary and Edmonton already act like a city state in many ways. They have adopted globalist agendas without the input of the provincial governments. Play around with the referendum stats here: alberta-vote-atlas-2026.verc…

This is the map of Calgary's voter support for NDP. It follows the same pattern as Edmonton. Support is highest for NDP in the center of the city. Play around with the data and see some statistics here: alberta-vote-atlas-2026.verc…

Here's something interesting - This shows NDP support based on percentage of the last provincial election. I find it strange that the correlation of NDP support is directly impacted by how close to the center of Edmonton you live. Any ideas as to why this is? For more referendum stats check this out: alberta-vote-atlas-2026.verc…

Ten referendum questions, 87 electoral divisions, and several ways to vote. I found it hard to make sense of it all, so I built a free, interactive map using Elections Alberta’s unofficial results. Explore your district, compare voting methods, make your own charts, and see what’s still unreported: alberta-vote-atlas-2026.verc… Tell me what you’d like added. I’ll watch this thread.

One pattern I’m exploring: in the current unofficial Question 10 count, 91.0% of special-ballot responses chose Option 1, to remain a province of Canada. The comparable shares are 71.2% for advance voting and 66.5% for Election Day. Different groups choose different voting methods, so the gap alone doesn’t establish a problem. I’d like to understand it better.

I’ve sent Elections Alberta three specific questions about published counts and will share their explanations when they arrive. If you find a figure you can’t explain, save the ED, question, voting method, calculation, and source update time. You can post it in the atlas’s Review log and ask Elections Alberta for context. A surprising pattern is a question to investigate, not proof of an error.

I just got off my shift of being a scrutinier with the UCP for this referendum and let me tell you there has been some major incompetence on display today with Elections Alberta. Not only were they criminally understaffed, and they were rushing things through but that was causing issues with long lineups and the staff we're not checking things properly like ids, and we're just waving people through. I caught three different people on PR getting through the registration desk and we're about to be handed the ballots. The site supervisor was also yelling and berating staff publicly, and was actively swatting them, which I would call physical assault. I ultimately accept the results that come from tonight. But to accept that Elections Alberta is competent enough to run this referendum is an absolute understatement.

Does anyone else find it fishy that the leave side got 1/4 and the remain side got 3/4, while close to half that remain side were a No to the 9 and option 1 to the 10, yet all the 9 won except for 1? Even when a large portion of Option 2 supporters were going to deny the 9. results.elections.ab.ca/8400
