The Eddie Howe media machine is working overtime.
Eddie Howe has been watching #mufc's matches and making notes as Michael Carrick’s job hangs by a thread. Howe would be interested in talking to United, should a vacancy become available [@samuelluckhurst, @katwalshy1]
Massive fan of Suzuki for Villa, gutted that United didn’t sign him after years of scouting him. Just bad timing due to the awful signing of Onana and the panic to get a replacement for him last season.

There was rules last year yet 3 teams were added, no proper financial details were told about that. Which left 2 clubs with less funding than anyone else creating and unfair playing field.
How does a club/owner whos been in the league 4 years have as much pull as say Moran & Warrington.
You want to pull up PVL on numbers hes throughing out there your mate said Leigh added 4 Million to Perpignan Economy but you never called that out as fake number!
Yes 15 teams next year may be awkward but so was 14 at times this year, we as a sport in this country struggle for genuine people who want to invest & grow this sport so why should London be turned away? What benefit does the championship get from a team battering them all again? Fans don't want to see it, players don't, and I'm certain owners don't want it.
Think the fact this statement has been made via X on one of the biggest decisions this sport has had to made in modern times shows just how unprofessional and unattractive this sport is in Europe!
Final point, if you're so against the NRL investment surely you'll be giving them the money back for Vegas thats being put up for you to go? And if teams want to try and block progress well then you should be left behind!
Break away and create NRL Europe!
Giving a deadline on something you want that the other side cannot commit to is a gun to the head approach akin to a ransom. I will make clear here the position of me and therefore @LeighLeopardsRL something I have also previously told PVL. It is not right to just put London in SL. The rules at the start of the year were that IMG grading determines SL. Therefore if clubs were to agree to expand then it would need to be Barrow or there is risk of legal consequences. If the expansion is not at full funding and barrow didn’t want to enter then it’s not simply next team down it would need to be an application process as per the precedent set the previous year to increase to 14 teams. Therefore I will not vote to add London to SL without due process and most certainly not because someone insists upon it without substance and hadn’t previously done so. When PVL met with clubs via teams he inferred that SL would like 15 teams. I asked him where had he obtained that information. He stated only from London. Well off course they would like 15 teams so would salford and Widnes and Doncaster to name but a few if they were the 15th team. There was no insistence in that meeting that London were a part of it however having wet the appetite in the pitch it then became a condition and furthermore that the guaranteed funding to clubs would have to be reduced to include them. Let’s pause here and remember that this person as chairman of who would control SL under the deal has in a short space of time significantly changed the goal posts from what he said to what then became the offer. If I am to vote to give control of our game it must be with unequivocal trust and unfortunately that is not possible. Then there is the reasoning for London well he quoted in the meeting 750k Australians are in London. In our post meeting we all felt it was a mistake and the number closer to 75k yet he is still making that claim in the press. Again I need to be sure we are working with accuracy and I am not. London is not in London it is in Wimbledon and despite being in SL for long periods it has never achieved a fan base nor has it captured whatever the number actually is in the UK that despite a blow away season winning all bar one game. Furthermore I would argue that not all Australians support rugby league. Then there is the fact that the NRL through DAZN I am told has an app that these people can subscribe to watch the NRL yet only 12k subscribe. How it is perceived having London in SL will drastically change that is explained only because they know the Brisbane broncos. I am sorry but that doesn’t make commercial sense to me. Then the bigger issue. Including London means they don’t play in Magic and are granted a 2 point by. It also means that not all teams play each other and therefore an unfair skewed league all be it different it is akin to loops. The calendar proposed I will not support even if London was correctly entered by a fair and robust process. Now the important part. I have wasted a lot of your time reading this far because that’s just opinion on a sticking point to an offer that does not deserve such a description. It is unbalanced and is a purchase through broadcast with any risk underpinned with equity that terminates after five years when PVL will walk away with an app that has acquired all UK eyes on what I must confess is a better product of the game as it stands that people will have become accustomed to and won’t cancel and we will be left with no IP and starting again. Lastly the craziest part is we are being asked to support this with no business plan or presentation being told that these crucial elements will be decided within the first 6-12 months of the deal when they will have already been handed control. Unfortunately many will vote in favour because they see the sugar shot of a short term increase in funding that in reality is the most expensive loan with the worst conditions attached that the sport could ever obtain!
As disappointing as it was seeing Wigan not reach the Grand Final this season, this could be one of the best events for growing the sport for a long time.

It’s weird seeing young people celebrate the end of the triple lock.
What it basically means is by the time you hit retirement age that will likely be 75 you will have no financial support mechanisms to survive even though you have paid into the system all your life.
Can’t want till Danson spends more of Athletics budget on some new Warriors signings after that result tonight.
Imagine having to pay £40 to go to a Leigh Leopards game because the owner wants you to listen to a band nobody has every heard of, set off fireworks and play shite game show noises for 80 minutes.
It’s cheaper for tickets to the grand final next weekend.
Why does Rashford slow down every time he’s dribbling at a defender. Have some bottle and bottle and go at them.
Im here for the absolute pettiness of this statement 😂
Wigan Warriors would like to issue the following statement ahead of the Betfred Super League Play-Offs.

Another great @northernassist shambles at Manchester Victoria.
The 15:28 delayed, cancelled and then made an express missing most stations.
15:55 has apparently gone missing somewhere in between Rochdale and Manchester Victoria.
The 16:28 has also not show up.
I swear that every Northern Train is on time until it hits Rochdale then it’s either delayed or cancelled.
Don’t blame him, you’d be straight out as well if you could.
Imagine paying £200m in tax a year just to see what the government waste it on.

It’s just been a proper weird transfer window hasn’t it.
Some of the fees flying around for average players has been ridiculous.

Today we mourn the loss of a true sporting icon, Sir Billy Boston, who has passed away surrounded by his family.
Rugby League’s first knight, a Wigan legend, and "Everybody's Hero," his legacy on and off the field will endure for eternity.
Rest in peace, Sir Billy. 🍒⚪️
There’s someone in the Melbourne crowd with a cowbell so Huddersfield will try and claim IMG points for that.
It’s mad how they decided to gridlock Manchester City Centre for the sake of cycle lanes just for most of the cyclists to ignore them cycle on the pavement and ignore all traffic lights.
