When this sad contradiction collapses, what makes you think it'll collapse in the direction of freedom?
If Obama had been hostile to Iran, Trump probably would've treated them like North Korea and cozied up to them and Kushner would be in there pumping them for real estate opportunities.

This wasn't about American policy, about which Trump has never shown an iota of interest.
Obama making a deal meant Trump had to rip it up. Then Trump couldn't accept less than Obama got so he let the crisis fester while playing chicken with threats of war.

Pete is cut off literally one word into answering.
Harry Potter's girlfriend is Hermione (played by Emma Watson and widely swooned over). So she is breaking up with Potter to be with Anakin, while using a spell to cast away Anakin's wife.
So basically - alt right star wars guy gets the hot harry potter girl is the message.

The movies literally start with the empire *blowing up a planet full of peaceful people* to ensure there's absolutely no moral ambiguity.
These are people who consistently venerate villains while pretending it's a matter of honor.

AES just ran in a $70 million primary, $33 million of which came from AIPAC (per his numbers). If Israel wants to exercise a tremendous influence on our elections they can. They shouldn't then pretend anyone who notices is antisemitic.

Antisemites will always exist, unfortunately. Using that fact to say any and all criticism of Israel - a democracy - must cease is, well, the opposite of believing in democracy.
Replying to @speechboy71
People who are worried about "anti-semitism" becoming commonplace on the left should be militantly opposed to anyone conflating legitimate criticisms of Israel with anti-Jewish bigotry.
The pursuit of the opposite strategy by Netanyahu, ADL, etc has been disastrous.

Donald Trump is the leader of the Republican party and by far the most powerful endorsement of their future leaders. Doing the right thing would've required Republican Senators to convict him. Instead McConnell and the rest bet he was finished.
We all lost that bet.

Histrionics aside, we are clearly in the midst of a substantial shift in both parties around support for Israel. We have barely begun to glimpse how that will trickle up to the rhetoric of leading pols.

When people say they think we should clean the black mold out of the bomb shelter, it's not because they don't believe in bomb shelters. If it's toxic we don't really have an escape plan. And seeing as it's helping create the danger we need to escape, ignoring it is no option.

I love the idea they added "tax free." Like receiving 1 billion after taxes is so diminished.
