Twelve former US officials who resigned over Gaza are calling on 2028 presidential candidates to pledge not to hire Biden administration officials who were "architects" of its support for Israel's genocide in Gaza. The pledge asks candidates to: ➤ Acknowledge US "complicity" in the genocide through arms, funding and diplomatic support ➤ Bar any past or present political appointee who was "an architect, leader, defender, or key enabler" of that policy Signatories, including former State Department officials Josh Paul and Annelle Sheline, say those officials are "white-washing their own roles" and seeking "a path back into the halls of power."

There are people who still think a minority government involving Eisenkot and the Arab parties is coming. It is absolutely not happening. Recent events have confirmed that: 1) Eisenkot’s own party is split. Amit Segal reported Wednesday that at least four Yashar members told the faction meeting they would not support a government relying on Ra’am with Joint List backing, even temporarily. Segal put its chances at “almost zero.” 2) One Yashar member has drawn this line in public. Hili Tropper, sixth on the list, told N12 in July: “I support only a Zionist government.” Haredi and Arab parties, he said, “chose not to be part of the Zionist story.” Matan Kahana, fifth on the list, told Arutz 7 on election night that Yashar will not form a government relying on the Arab parties. He cited their position on Hamas. 3) Liberman closed the door in August. “Yisrael Beytenu will not be a partner in any constellation for a minority government. Period.” In October he repeated that he would not back one even as a transitional government. Leaks close to him say he has not changed his mind. 4) Bennett has refused to depend on Arab votes or abstentions. On election night he pledged only “a Zionist government.” All told, I estimate that around 20 members of the opposition would just not join. Many of the others would have serious reservations. It is simply not happening.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "trying to set a trap for Gadi Eisenkot that Gadi Eisenkot should not fall into" by claiming election fraud in Israel's elections, New York Democratic House candidate Brad Lander claims. He says Netanyahu is attempting to "demonize and discount the votes of Palestinian citizens of Israel who, if it's a democracy, their votes count just as much as Jewish voters." "All Eisenkot has to do is work out a coalition with those voters, and Netanyahu can be gone," he adds. "And showing Jewish-Arab collaboration is the path forward for safety and flourishing, both for Israelis and for Palestinians."

🚨 TODAY: Settler-terrorists attacked Andrey, Jasper and me. This video shows the assault. Andrey was severely beaten and lost consciousness several times in front of police. Despite this, he was denied hospital treatment. He was put in an ambulance—but instead of being taken to hospital, he was taken to a police station. He is still there, arrested and being denied medical care. Jasper and I were also beaten. Jasper was then pepper-sprayed and arrested.

In this video, you can see Andrey losing consciousness. Yet he was taken to the police station instead of the hospital, and they’re keeping him there overnight.
THIS EVENING: Settlers attacked @the_andrey_x , @AdeleShoko , and @infinite_jaz near the closed gate at the entrance to the village of Umm al-Khair. Andrey suffered a head injury and repeatedly lost consciousness, but was taken to a police station instead of a hospital

Avigdor Liberman has largely cut off contact with opposition leaders Gadi Eisenkot and Naftali Bennett, according to Israel’s Channel 12. Liberman reportedly maintains his refusal to join a government led by Benjamin Netanyahu or support a minority government reliant on Arab parties. He expects pressure on Eisenkot to join a unity government with Netanyahu and would prefer that Eisenkot make the decision voluntarily, according to the report.

While much of the world watches the Israeli election results, counts seats, follows political alliances, and wonders what comes next, life in Gaza tells a very different story. This little girl arrived at Al-Rahma Clinic with painful burns on parts of her tiny body. She knows nothing of elections, political alliances, or politicians’ speeches. All she knows is that she is in pain. The world has moved from war to ceasefire, from ceasefire to elections, and from one headline to the next. But Gaza’s suffering has not followed the news cycle. The bombs may be falling less frequently, and politicians may now be busy counting votes. But children are still living among the ruins, bearing wounds, mourning loved ones, and enduring the consequences of a war that has taken almost everything from them. And as the world slowly grows accustomed to their suffering, there is something I fear almost as much as the suffering itself: that one day, we will look at a photograph like this and feel nothing. Look at this little girl. This is what a “ceasefire” looks like for her. The world may have moved on from Gaza. But Gaza’s children have not been given the chance to move on from what the world allowed to happen to them. #AlrahmaClinic

Netanyahu lost

This is Netanyahu's lowest number of seats since 1996, and identical to the bloc he had in the 1999 elections, which he lost.
Netanyahu's bloc will likely settle around 54 seats. This is his lowest number since 1996, and identical to the bloc he had in the 1999 elections, which he lost. Yet Netanyahu & the Right have been successful in delegitimizing participation of Arab parties in gov't, getting the Israeli center to play by their racist rules. Graph by the genius @LittleMoiz

Replying to @yuval_beery

Socioeconomic status was key indicator of voting in Israel's elections. Among Jewish voters, in the lowest socio-economic cluster, Netanyahu's coalition won North Korean levels of support. In the top cluster, 81% voted for the Change Bloc. via @YediotAhronot
