Last election, Rick Caruso was calling Karen Bass an insane, Scientology-aligned, corrupt fool; she was calling him a corrupt billionaire who never served anyone but himself Now that they need favors from each other, they’re singing different tunes Ain’t politics grand?!

Karen Bass: great at empty campaign rhetoric and traveling on the taxpayer dime; terrible at managing infrastructure or the basics of running a city

It’s interesting that Karen Bass terrorized Rick Caruso in 2022, saying “LA deserves better,” but is gleefully accepting his lukewarm half-endorsement now that she’s flopping so badly As usual, Karen represents the very worst of politics
Rick Caruso says he's a Democrat, but he only became one 3 weeks before he launched his campaign. He says he's a builder, but he’s spent $100 million lying about himself and $0 building any actual affordable housing in our city. L.A. deserves better.

The Homeless Industrial Complex in California is one of the biggest frauds in modern history A homeless man gives testimony that there is no help being offered for the homeless in Los Angeles “I'm a single father that's staying with my daughter here in Los Angeles, California — when I go to any place throughout the city to request services, I'm told there are no services. They don't exist. They're not available and to call 211. So to give you an example, the most recent time that I called 211, I called 5 different times. Every single time that I called, the community resource specialist told me, too bad, that's not my problem, figure it out on your own” “I explained to them, me and my daughter have nowhere to sleep tonight. The DPSS vouchers had ran out. I was on a shelter waiting list. There was nowhere to go. I didn't have a car. What should I do tonight?” The city of Los Angeles is spending roughly $3.4 billion dollars per year on the homeless and yet we have a homeless person right here saying every agency is telling him there is no help… Where does the $3.4 billion dollars from taxpayers go??? Right into the pockets of the NGOs laundering our money

This is why Bass was putting all her eggs in the Pratt basket; she didn’t want an opponent from the left. Now she’s forced to run as a pseudo-Republican like Rick Caruso and is polling like it
LA mayoral election in CA-34 (USC poll): Nithya 61%, Bass 33% In the primary, CA-34 gave Nithya 38%, Bass 30%, Pratt 16% Nithya gains 23 pts from the primary; Bass gains only 3 pts!

Karen Bass is lying about homelessness in Los Angeles again. On Tuesday afternoon she posted on X implying that she’s the one addressing the crisis that’s only gotten worse since the day she was sworn in. She wrote: “I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ANYBODY WHO TELLS ME THAT IT’S OKAY FOR MY FOLKS TO LANGUISH ON THE STREETS AND THEY GO HOME TO A BED. I’ve fought the systemic neglect of Black and Latino communities since my days as a grassroots activist right here.” The numbers debunk her narrative. The 2022 LAHSA count for homeless in the City of Los Angeles was 41,980. LAHSA is the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, the body that runs the official point-in-time counts. Bass took office in December 2022. The 2026 count is now 45,194. That’s a net increase of more than 3,200 people. Unsheltered homelessness rose 7.9% in the latest year alone. Bass is rightly getting ratioed for her gaslighting because the official counts are public and they show the opposite of the positive progress she pretends she’s made. It’s also ridiculous how in her statement Bass tries to pander to black and Latino communities. She can’t go a day without lying and reducing people to their race. What’s really messed up is her opponent for mayor of LA is an even worse outcome for the City of Angels. Salvation won’t be coming from elected leadership. It’ll have to come from the people. But considering they’re the ones who wrongly nominated Bass and her opponent, I don’t see things getting better anytime soon unless Steve Hilton becomes governor and cooperates with the federal government to deport every illegal alien in California.

Nithya will win by double digits
USC's @christiangrose came out with a poll today in #CA34 and one interesting datapoint was the LA Mayor's race. He shows @nithyavraman leading @KarenBassLA 54/28, and after a push of undecideds, it goes to 61/33. Raman winning in her own backyard isn't really noteworthy. She should be ahead here. But the real kicker is comparing these numbers to the actual mayoral primary results in the overlap of CA34 using my tool at politicaldata.vote/contest/c… That shows the mayoral vote in June in CA34 was Raman 38, Bass 30. Let you all do that math... but it is ominous.

Karen acts like she hasn’t been mayor for the last four years. Some of us have been saying since DAY ONE that her ‘Inside Safe’ made no sense. Putting people in hotels for six months is the program. Costs us $6,750 per month for *each hotel room.* That’s it. After that… 🤷🏾‍♂️
I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ANYBODY WHO TELLS ME THAT IT’S OKAY FOR MY FOLKS TO LANGUISH ON THE STREETS AND THEY GO HOME TO A BED.  I’ve fought the systemic neglect of Black and Latino communities since my days as a grassroots activist right here. Rick! You are the one who got me to run against Karen Bass in the first place! Last year, I hit you up & said I had to run for either Governor or Mayor, but I didn't want to run against you out of respect, so I asked what I should do: you said "GO AFTER BASS" Direct quote.
MORE: I asked @RickCarusoLA about undecided voters in LA’s mayoral race. A September poll found 63% of @spencerpratt’s supporters were still undecided between @KarenBassLA and @nithyavraman — while 33% of all likely voters remained undecided.

The Mayor whose $1Bn+ LAX people mover is over budget, years behind schedule and literally on fire wants to brag about public transport...LMAO
People always told me LA isn’t a transit city. Then we made Metro free for students and expanded rail across the county — and Angelenos took 305 million rides last year. As your mayor and the chair of Metro, I’m making Metro Safe, Affordable, Reliable, and Ready for 2028.

Karen Bass entered office saying her plan was to put homeless people into hotels while the city built more “affordable housing.” Said she could get 95% housed. Karen also said there would NOT be 40,000 homeless at the end of her term. Well, there’s actually 45,000 now.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said she will be moving unhoused people into hotels and motels while the city builds more affordable housing. n.pr/3jdvYLF

One of the most exciting things about Karen Bass losing is actually the prospect of sticking it to this disastrous city council, full of people like Monica Rodriguez and Imelda Padilla
Now that’s what you call a Rally in the Valley with Latinos Con Bass! Thank you to all our incredible speakers, from Councilwomen Imelda Padilla, Congresswomen Luz Rivas, Assemblymember Celeste Rodriguez and the Latino Valley leaders who turned out to remind voters what’s at stake in this election and how Team Bass is committed to moving Los Angeles forward. The Valley is an essential part of our city, and I’m committed to working with and supporting our vibrant Latino community and all residents who call it home. Let’s keep this momentum going through Election Day! 📣

Karen Bass tweeting in all caps (and strangely suggesting that homelessness is a Black and Latino issue?) shows just how desperate she’s getting.

Sometimes we need to give credit where it is due. Gavin Newsom‘s billion dollar “People Mover” at LAX almost made it through testing without exploding.
I hope you’re sitting down, but the delayed construction project that was going to revolutionize traffic at LAX for the World Cup and Olympics is again delayed and over budget by over a billion taxpayer dollars.

Karen Bass: great at photo ops and manufactured outrage, terrible at getting anything done or managing a city
A BILLION dollars+ over budget, years behind schedule, contractor suing Karen Bass for delays, and now the LAX people mover, which has yet to move any people, is now arcing and catching on fire. Forget the 3rd World...Karen Bass has turned LA into a 4th World country.

Karen Bass accused Rick Caruso of making big promises he couldn’t deliver, making voters cynical Isn’t that exactly what Karen has done, especially with her promise to “end street homelessness by 2026”?
