i feel bad for people who haven’t discovered the euphoria of studying yet. they don't understand how pleasurable it can be to have your brain tied into a massive knot, straining against its coils and probing every gap for a way through, only for the knowledge to suddenly snap into place for you as the stubbornness of your deliberate effort and sustained attention begin to pay off. that shit is like a drug. i highly recommend that you seek out the discomfort of not understanding things more often. you should be deliberately putting yourself in situations that push your brain past its comfort zone, forcing it to adapt and pave the way for new neural pathways, over and over again. challenging yourself to learn difficult things you are genuinely curious about is an act of upholding the mental integrity these soul-harvesting apps do not want you to keep.
