May 17, 2026: St. Paul, NE Tornado
GET OUT AND FILM IT!
@scott_currensMay 18
May 17, 2026 south of St. Paul, NE, a coupe families were very lucky today. This tornado thread the needle between homes seconds before rapidly intensifying into a strong multi-vortex tornado. Lots of tree damage but the homes had no apparent damage.

Swirling winds lifted a trash bin into the air and dragged branches across a Victorville roadway Thursday afternoon. Jolina Renee captured the footage near Highway 395 and Dos Palmas Road. After sitting in Guthrie all afternoon, we made the tough call around 4:30pm... let's go south. It was a high risk, high reward play, but in the moment, we thought it was the right call. By the time we got to Edmond, we pulled off again and checked satellite, only to see towers exploding near Enid. We sat and stirred for a while longer before finally deciding to blast back north up I-35 and boy did it pay off. Here's a few clips from the monster tornado we caught near Braman, OK, including a zero meter intercept during the initial phases, orbiting satellite, and much more. FULL VIDEO - youtu.be/gi2FC8HvtW0 Our hearts also go out to everyone impacted by the other tornado that hit populated areas south of Enid. @AaronRigsbyOSC @AdriMozeris #OKwx

Very excited to have been apart of this amazing opportunity!! Grew up watching a lot of National Geographic documentaries about severe weather, never even thinking I’d be apart of it. Truly a dream come true to be included, especially alongside people like Freddy McKinney!

Went and watched episode 8 of Megastorm since they interviewed my good friend @Sawyer_WX. Fuck them for making me tear up at work lol but what a great documentary about that night and even the Hawley tornado

I’m being featured in @KJ_Chasing’s documentary about the March 6th, 2026 tornadoes in Southwest Michigan! We had a great interview where I talk about witnessing Michigan’s strongest tornado in nearly 50 years. Be sure to go give them a follow, and watch this when it’s out 🙏🏻
