Already 2 weeks since my Half Marathon run in support of Advance Myanmar and the work we do to support people in Burma opposing the attempted military coup. There is still time to donate: gofund.me/1557ae3f
Since new rounds of sanctions stopped being imposed by the British government and other western countries, the Burmese military has dramatically increased its attacks against civilians. @burmacampaignuk See more here- burmacampaign.org.uk/two-yea…

The Trump administration is threatening judges at the ICJ and as a result effectively protecting the Burmese military. All because of a nonsense right wing conspiracy theory. This case is about what happened to the Rohingya, nothing else.
ICJ ad hoc "judge" Navi Pillay is tipping the scales on the ICJ’s current proceedings on Myanmar, intending to lower the legal threshold for proving genocide so that weakened and false standard can later be weaponized against American and allied soldiers whenever they raise a finger against terrorists that hide behind civilians. Pillay: We see your agenda and we'll be watching the ICJ’s handling of these proceedings very closely. As our actions against the ICC demonstrate, we will not allow globalist, faux-judges to weaponize the law against our troops, undermine our sovereignty, or put American lives at risk.
The Nobel Committee has disgraced itself by awarding the Peace Prize to Pillay. What a shameful choice to "honor" someone who represents an "international community" with a leftist, globalist, antisemitic agenda.
President Trump is showing a better way, by actually ENDING WARS, bringing hostages HOME, and making PEACE.

Myanmar: I am horrified by the latest military airstrikes on Rakhine State, which reportedly killed at least 50 people at a market. Refugees from Myanmar need to be protected, not forced to return. My statement today:

The same vessels the Myanmar military uses to transport arms and soldiers to Rakhine State now being used to bring back refugees who fled conflict and repression.
Handing refugees over to the same military which forced them to flee is not a solution to this crisis.

It was an honour to address the @UN Human Rights Council at #HRC63 today.
I was able to share what our #Rohingya brothers and sisters are enduring in Rakhine State, in the refugee camps in Bangladesh and around the world.
Our message to Member States was clear: Rohingya are being erased from our homeland. We face two oppressors, the military and the Arakan Army, both denying our identity, our rights and our future.
For decades, the UN has documented our persecution. There is no lack of evidence or international law. What has been missing is action.
UN High Commissioner @volker_turk’s message was clear too: years of international efforts have failed. States need a ‘reality check’ in their approach, and engagement with the military cannot continue without meaningful pressure for change.
Rohingya must not be forced back while conditions remain unsafe. Rohingya must lead decisions about our return, with protection, equal rights, restoration of our land and citizenship.
International law must be enforced.
