Every weekend I visited my parents, Mama will always empty my pockets of every penny I have, sometimes I try to sneak out but she was always alert. The first weekend I visited home after she passed, I walked out with everything intact in my pockets, I cried. Allah jikan Mama.

Christopher Ohenen one of the best strikers in Spain never even got called up.

While Aqeedah remains absolute and non-negotiable, a genuine understanding of Fiqh and its Usool cultivates the greatest tolerance toward differences in the remaining matters of the Deen.
Tolerance is the hallmark of a Muslim unless it has to do with the issues of Aqeedah.

At the global level it is everyone against Islam.
At the local level, it is all sects against Ahlu-Sunnah.
So, one must seek guidance from Allah and be steadfast no matter the onslaught.

It began with the gruesome murders of Sheikh Ja'afar Mahmud Adam in Kano and Sheikh Umar Hamza Dan-Maishiyya in Sokoto, both in 2007.
Seven years later, in 2014, Sheikh Muhammad Auwal Albani Zaria was also assassinated in Kaduna.
Today, in 2026, in a similar vein, unknown gunmen killed Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka in Katsina.
This is a very dangerous development in Northern Nigeria. Do not rejoice at these killings. Your favourite cleric is not safe either. None of us is truly safe.
May there be peace in our fatherland, Nigeria. Amin. May Allah (SWT) forgive the shortcomings of our departed loved ones, amin.

Amnesty International strongly condemns the gunmen’s deadly attack on Binnari in Karim Lamido local government area of Taraba state in which at least 40 people were killed. The attack which took place on Friday 23 October 2026 shows utter disdain for the sanctity of life.
Earlier police confirmed the killing of 10 people, but later in the day more bodies were recovered — and more are still being discovered.
Apart from killing people wantonly the gunmen also burnt down foodstuff, homes, shops and motorcycles. The community is now littered with dead bodies, some burnt beyond recognition, as families declare many still missing.
The Nigerian authorities continue to leave rural communities in some parts of the north at the mercy of gunmen that are repeatedly commit atrocities with impunity. This attack must be investigated impartially, while survivors must be provided with adequate reparations.
On the side of the authorities, issuing bland statements condemning these horrific attacks is not enough. Genuine commitment to protecting the people must be demonstrated by ensuring adequate security of lives and property, as well as ensuring justice for the victims.
Consistent failure of the authorities to bring the suspected perpetrators to justice is clearly emboldening impunity.
