I’m probably being that person, but that flyover in DC right now was very scary. Essentially no heads up that it would be happening and it sounded like a regular commercial plane (AF1 essentially is). I don’t mind jets but I actually thought a plane was going to crash

2 things can be true at once. Living in DC, I tolerate/expect flyovers, but living in DC also means a non-zero chance that low flying planes mean exactly what you fear. While not expected, it would be great for the admin to give more than a day’s notice about intentional flyovers

TIL: While it's against D.C. law for anyone to run onto the field at Nationals Park and Audi Field (and was at RFK), the law doesn't apply at Capital One Arena or CareFirst Arena. Tomorrow the D.C. Council will pass an emergency bill to close that loophole.
