Considering where we are now, when it’s all said and done @scott_colom should end up north of 5,000 votes ahead. For the team of #SenatorScottColom the math is math-ing. The fat lady is warming up her vocal cords and I’ve got a good phone number to call the dogs.

Mind you… I thought that @SherrodBrown name was pronounced like that too lol
My ears focus in on something new every time I watch this video:

Four years ago, Pres. Biden nominated Scott Colom to serve as a federal judge in Mississippi. Mississippi Republican Senator Roger Wicker supported the nomination of Mr. Colom. The state's other senator, Cindy Hyde-Smith, refused to do so based on absurd claims. Mr. Colom reached to Sen. Hyde-Smith to address her concerns and respectfully point out misunderstandings on her part and appeal to her better angels. Other prominent Mississippi Republicans reached out to Sen. Hyde-Smith asking her to reconsider and support Mr. Colom's nomination. She still refused, effectively killing his nomination for no good reason. She's now on the verge of losing her seat to Scott Colom, who would have never been a threat if she had supported his judicial nomination.

There’s a 0.0% chance he’s looking at Twitter right now but let’s all give this brother @Gerard_Hen a follow. So proud of and stoked for this son of Mississippi. To make history in a state rich with so much…whew.
Mississippi, we’re feeling really good about tonight! Y’all have shown up and SHOWN OUT! Votes are still being counted in Lowndes and the Delta, and we’ve got 15,000+ affidavit ballots out. Buckle up, Mississippi. Change is coming, and we’re going to get this done!

We got your back, New York!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

El-Sayed: At the end of the day, I actually don't think about Haley Stevens. Because you know what? I'm just less interested in the politics of it all than I am in the policy of it all… If you are somebody who believes that we should stand up to hate, and you have watched this last campaign, I think we probably would not want to support Mike Rogers and Donald Trump and JD Vance. If you're somebody who believes that we need more health care, not less than you probably don't want to vote for the guy who voted to raise prescription drug prices or keep them high 19 times and takes money from big pharma and big insurance. If you're somebody who believes in public education, you probably do not want to support the guy who architected the initial legislation in 1999 that ended up stripping local control from Detroit public schools and the local community. If you're somebody who believes that you should have a right to a union, you probably don't want to support the guy who busts unions. So I'm just saying that the principles that we believe in as Democrats are really quite clear. I stand for all of them.

There’s not enough attention to what’s happening in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee. Black and Hispanic voters are showing up in record numbers. You have many minority majority precincts that have already surpassed their total 2024 turnout numbers. There’s a blacklash and brownlash against GOP gerrymandering efforts in the South.
