At long last, and at a time when most of our attention should be paid to the world stage, Animal Hospital releases a new album. I’ll be honest, there are so many other things occupying my mental and emotional bandwidth right now than promoting a record, let alone....
The development of this release would also not be possible without the dedicated musicianship of @frank_aveni & Ernie Kim, the ever patient engineering & mixing of Seth Manchester of @MWMStudio , the mesmerizing artwork of Jeremy Miranda, ->
... the attentive & creative design by @5pt5panoramic Daniel Murphy and the elegant mastering of @matthewbarnhart . Thanks for listening.
.. believing in myself enough to follow through on recording and mixing… it all seems hard to imagine! But without Mike from @sippycupyall by my side, this material may have never seen the light of day and for that I am forever grateful. ->

I would L❤️VE for EVERY guitarist that dismisses Turntablism as an instrument, that THINKS it’s mindless & EASY TO DO - To go on camera with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, DJ Logic, Prince Paul, or Kid Koala 🐨, & demonstrate how ANYONE can do it. Vs Them.
Another clip from the video for Awful Beast created by Chilean illustrator Daevid Ioyza. Out now via @sippycupyall off of the forthcoming album Shelf Life, out Nov 3rd. youtube.com/watch?v=n4q9bYf3…

On "Awful Beast," @KevinMicka builds the subject from the ground up, starting with the sound of marching hooves, before moving onto its breath, sculpting aural bones, muscle, and flesh on top of one another until the creature is alive and seething.
