I would L❤️VE for EVERY guitarist that dismisses Turntablism as an instrument, that THINKS it’s mindless & EASY TO DO - To go on camera with DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, DJ Logic, Prince Paul, or Kid Koala 🐨, & demonstrate how ANYONE can do it. Vs Them.

Indeed. It was tough for a couple generations of musicians who had spent those countless hours learning the mechanics of, and creating Art on, their instruments to then accept pushing buttons and sampling other peoples loops as equally viable in music.

On "Awful Beast," @KevinMicka builds the subject from the ground up, starting with the sound of marching hooves, before moving onto its breath, sculpting aural bones, muscle, and flesh on top of one another until the creature is alive and seething. 👹 ffm.to/AH-ShelfLife

General consensus so far is that people want high res artwork and full credits for albums and not some shoehorned in motion graphics. Maybe pay attention @spotify @AppleMusic
Robert Beatty (@EdSunspot) profile pictureRobert Beatty@EdSunspot18 Aug 2023
Really curious if anyone actually cares about Apple Motion or Spotify Canvas or finds any value in it beyond "content". The amount of extra expected work it has created for album cover artists *usually without the budget to justify it* is completely untenable.
