people are mad because wildwood has lgbtq representation, as if laika didn’t give us this gay icon back in 2012

I know we have had a lot of beloved celebrities pass away this year but Eric Bauza’s death seems especially unfair. He was only 46 and practically in the prime of his career, and his voiceover work has been instrumental in keeping the Looney Tunes beloved in our modern day…

Eric Bauza dying might be the worst thing to happen to animation in like decades, im so fr, that man was the modern day Mel blanc. He was SO passionate about carrying on those characters to the modern day, he was such an amazing actor and created so many characters of his own.
In the mood for another spooky, fun, small town, Canadian-made mystery after the first two episodes of YAGA?

He can't keep getting away with this... But my inner 15 year old made this mess. I have to see this through.

hot take: someone should bring this show back for one more season #OurFlagMeansDeath
Primetime is the first movie I’ve seen that makes the 2000s feel like an actual period piece (in a good way). It felt like it had a nostalgia for the era in a really grounded way from set, to costumes, to cinematography. It was definitely cool to see.

We are in the middle of one of the largest nationwide reckonings with sexual assault ever and this guy gets on stage and calls women whores for wearing shorts at the gym? You think he doesn’t know what he is saying? It’s not only unoriginal and unfunny, it’s really disgusting.

Disney and DreamWorks are churning out CGI sequels every year, while animators at LAIKA spent 11 years in an Oregon warehouse hand-weaving tiny coats for puppets to make Wildwood
LAIKA’s last movie lost nearly $75 million in 2019 and any other studio would have pivoted to cheap animation.
God bless Nike founder Phil Knight for funding his son’s stop-motion passion project so we can get actual hand-crafted cinema.
Support real art.

She’s not dressed like a whore, you think like a rapist.
Shane Gillis bombs #SNL monologue with cheap shots at women:
“Also, I haven’t been to the gym in so long I didn’t know women just dress like wh*res now? Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe [it]. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. You’ve seen the shorts? They’re those neon, like, artificial vape-colored [shorts], and the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butth*le. And don’t look! You’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look, because they are filming. I’m in the background of ten TikToks right now.”
Confession; this was one of my personal least-favourite books to read for a novel study as a kid. Kind of curious if I’d like the movie better…
EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is developing a movie adaptation of "Hatchet," Gary Paulsen’s 1987 young adult survival novel.
• The film will be written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, best known for films such as “Blue Valentine” and “The Place Beyond the Pines.”
• Per the synopsis: “Hatchet” follows “13-year-old Brian Robeson, who is stranded alone in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash with nothing but the hatchet his mother gave him.”
• Paulsen later expanded the story into a five-book series that included “The River” (1991), “Brian’s Winter” (1996), “Brian’s Return” (1999) and “Brian’s Hunt” (2003).

Today’s episode of Emmerdale was even more emotional for me because King of the Road was also the song we sang at my grandpa’s funeral last December. It’s the first time I’d heard that song since then. So their sendoff hit a lot closer to home.
