It’s actually Christian faithfulness to rejoice in justice even as you are grieved over the trial of a brother or sister in Christ. Even if the trial is self inflicted.
Replying to @cuatronelson
Not grieving the deportation doesn't make you an unfaithful Christian. Not grieving the deportation is ok. Even rejoicing in the administration of justice is ok. The rest of your take is fine.

A strong Biblical foundation and ecclesiology will do more to protect your church than a safety team can. The word of God must be central.
I’m out of town today, so I’m visiting a church for worship. I chose an Episcopal church. They routinely fly an LGBTQ flag out front. To be clear, I don’t agree with it. So, why am I here? I want to hear what they are teaching, even if I don’t agree with it. The numbers in the church this morning tell the truth. The attendance is abysmal. The sermon was about loving your neighbor and fighting hate. It was very light on the Bible and heavy on pageantry. I didn’t learn anything. I talked to the associate reverend, Kathleen. I asked her about their views about combatting sin and homosexuality. She looked defiant, her face became taught, her jaw clenched. The love your neighbor sermon was being put to the test. They don’t believe homosexuality is a sin and that Jesus never addressed sexuality. But, what about Paul? He certainly addressed it. She glanced over that quickly and said she had to get ready for the next service. To be fair, I have no doubt she did. It was obvious they did not want to discuss tough subjects. I have much respect for my pastoral staff. They would have taken the time to discuss these issues. To them, I say thank you. You have made me a stronger follower of Christ. I’m glad I came here. It made my commitment to my church even stronger. What do you think?

I will not delete this. I will own what I posted. I was told by what I consider reliable sources that he wasn’t here illegally. I was obviously wrong. I make no caveats. As with anyone who is here illegally, I fully support our justice system and Samuel’s deportation if he’s truly here illegally. As a brother in Christ, I don’t rejoice in what has transpired and wait to hear the specific details of Samuel’s situation. I will pray for him and his family!
I don't know all the details about the arrest of @SlowToWrite. What I do know is he's not here illegally, is a brother in Christ, and is a godly husband and father. No matter what your disagreement with Samuel may be, it's vile and wicked to celebrate him being arrested.

Unfortunate for Sam, but this is what we should want as Christians—an equitable and impartial justice system

What would your church safety team do? We had a kidnapping at church today. Some safety teams would shoot the person responsible. Some would fight those involved And others would call the cops. We simply let the child sleep.

The vileness of the anti-CN crowd to condemn everyone who is saying that justice must be served is disturbing. The amount of people celebrating because of Sey’s stances and race is disturbing. We don’t know enough to make a judgement, other than praying for his family and for justice.
The only Christian position on the Samuel Sey issue is: If he is guilty of immigration violations, he should suffer the consequences, but if he is innocent, he should be released. Your personal opinion on how nice he is, is irrelevant. Furthermore, the fact that he is a Christian doubles his guilt (if he is guilty). It doesn’t mitigate it.

Be the one. Preserving life is a duty and a calling. You must do something. Three people involved in this shooting did something and lives were saved as a result.
What heroism looks like.

🚨 UPDATE: Kaylub Giamanco, the dad who killed the Bend, Oregon school shooter, gives credit to the unarmed TEACHER who fought the gunman with her BARE HANDS 👏🏻 "I want to recognize HER. SHE gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life...That's a real TRUE hero, to not have a weapon and to put yourself in between your babies and a firearm." This man is pure selfless. Give him a medal of freedom! Police say she threw her PHONE at the 16-year-old gunman, then tackled him and fought for the gun. That gave Giamanco the shot he needed When the gunman went for his weapon again, Giamanco fired two more times "to make sure that he couldn't move" He saved countless lives, and he's still apologizing: "I want to apologize for not saving their babies." 💔 Man, this guy is a hero with a heart of gold. 🇺🇸

If the church fails to address the ethics and theology of self-defense then the state will fill in the gaps. This is good, right and natural response and impulse. May strong Christian men lead the way.

Americans live in a country where they can arm pretty much every congregant. Yet, they choose otherwise. May God have mercy on the Christians in Nigeria. And may church’s take the safety and security of their people seriously.
This is disturbing footage captured on a church’s livestream in Nigeria. In the middle of a sermon, islamists burst into the church and began to open fire. You hear the gunshots. You can see the mass panic in the congregation. Then you see the terrorists storming into the church and begin looting it and taking all the belongings the congregation left behind. More gunfire. More carnage. This is a daily occurrence in Nigeria and many other parts of Africa. It’s time to end this madness.

“All Christians are under obligation to seek to make the will of Christ supreme in our own lives and in human society. Means and methods used for the improvement of society and the establishment of righteousness among men can be truly and permanently helpful only when they are rooted in the regeneration of the individual by the saving grace of God in Jesus Christ.”
Actually Baptists are doing very good work on church and state. You just don’t like the fact that it’s still . . . Baptist.

Finishing up a long essay arguing that Baptist theology does not logically deny Christian nationalism, Baptist church establishment, or suppressing false religion. tl;dr Baptist and Presbyterian CNs are friends.

I'm a Baptist for whom religious liberty matters greatly. But does supporting religious liberty mean voters cannot take a candidate's religious worldview into account when deciding whether to vote for them? No. With Islam's growing influence, I have a new column at @realDailyWire that helps clarify how religion factors into whether a candidate is fit to serve. dailywire.com/news/the-polit…

"I routinely get asked whether it would be okay for a Christian to vote against a candidate simply because they are Muslim. My answer, put bluntly, is an unqualified 'yes.'" Co-sign, and there is nothing un-Baptist about this position.

Silence in the pulpit has led to chaos in our nation. It’s time for pastors to boldly address political and cultural issues again.
