As we’ve been putting sermons on SermonAudio it’s been fun to revisit “old friends”. It’s amazing how much time and energy you put into preaching a sermon but then leave it behind as you prepare the next one. Here’s one on The Sovereignty of God tinysa.com/sermon/9172520362…

The same is applicable when a true brother or sister commits a criminal act. We rejoice in the state carrying out proper justice even as our hearts break for the actions of our brother or sister in Christ and the consequences.
If you practice church discipline in glee that the church disciplines a person out of the fold, your heart is sick, if not unregenerate. Rather, we rejoice in honoring Christ even as our hearts break for the sinful choices of a person.

It’s actually Christian faithfulness to rejoice in justice even as you are grieved over the trial of a brother or sister in Christ. Even if the trial is self inflicted.

Not grieving the deportation doesn't make you an unfaithful Christian. Not grieving the deportation is ok. Even rejoicing in the administration of justice is ok. The rest of your take is fine.

A faithful Christian will: 1. support enforcement of immigration law 2. still grieve deportation of a Christian brother or sister and hardship it entails.

Yes you can. To be pro death penalty is to be pro life.
You cannot be pro life and pro death penalty.

We are in a crisis of young men not having godly older men to shepherd them. The @Brian_Sauve @Eric_Conn @JoelWebbon etc guys didn’t have godly influence in their younger days (that I’m aware of) and as they’ve grown older they’ve rejected godly influence of others.

Benjamin Keach used the term "Great Commission," and he was around a little while before the 1900s btw

One indicator you’ve found a healthy church. They love the Lord, you, and their nation enough to confront you about the sin of voting for current Democratic candidates. You can be loyal to the DNC or loyal to Christ. But not both.
