Physical media as an option over digital doesn’t look so bad after all. Sony thought they were untouchable.
Sony has suffered a massive data breach affecting around 2.58 million So-net and plala customers. Sony Network Communications says hackers accessed its member database on October 19. Leaked information includes: • Names • User IDs • Email addresses • Other customer information • 16 bank account records, including account numbers and bank names The company says it has not found any leaked credit card numbers or expiration dates, and it does not store customers’ bank PINs. Sony says the affected servers have been shut down and the unauthorized connections blocked, while internet services continue to operate.

Today’s budget was a missed opportunity to put an end to a failed economic model that impoverishes the many and enriches the few.

Exclusive John Healey is about to hand powers to London mayor Sir Sadiq Khan that allow him to give the Bakerloo Line the green light. Healey also set to refer to Stratford station as an “international” hub, which means cross-Channel trains from East London.

🚨 BREAKING: Despite rising rents, the government has chosen not to end the freeze on housing support in today’s #Budget2026. For years, rents have continued to rise but support hasn’t. As a result, too many people are being forced to decide between paying the rent and putting food on the table. While the government's decision to provide more support with energy bills is positive, keeping housing support frozen means many will still struggle to afford the essentials. The government wants to end the need for emergency food. It won't achieve that while housing support remains frozen.

Chancellor pays tribute to Rachel Reeves. Yet he's said this is a "continuity government" but refuses to make the big changes we so desperately need. So what was this new Labour Government for other than a change in the people reading the "difficult choices?"

NEWS: Delighted after years of fighting for it, that the Lifetime ISA penalty for those buying a house of £450,000 will be reduced from 25% to 20%. In practice (as you got a 25% bonus when putting money in) this means while you won't get the bonus, you'll get back roughly what you put in plus interest. I've long suggested this and am pleased the Chancellor listened. It means there's no risk to putting money in a LISA if you're definitely going to buy a house. As if you're priced out, and have to go above threshold, you still get your savings and the interest, you just don't get the extra. This will be a great relief to many young people. I'm still checking when it comes in. He has confirmed too that the First Time Buyers replacement will go ahead but that will take a few years I suspect. The LISA will remain for now, and should still be viable even once its closed to new starters. #Budget2026
