One of my favorite things about events like this is getting to return to my natural element: building.
As a founder, you're constantly switching between creating and executing. Leadership, managing people, closing deals, making decisions.
Somewhere along the way, you spend less time just building. I lowkey understand why Zuck still write codes for Meta tbh. 🤣
But moments like this bring me back to where it all started. Just me, my laptop, and a head full of ideas! 🧠
Like an artist stepping off the stage and returning to the studio to write music.
Currently cooking @KnightIntelco's early-stage KYA architecture at @arbitrum Founder House. Grateful for the opportunity to be mentored by brilliant minds from @RobinhoodCrypto and @ArbitrumDevs.
Back in the studio. We will cook. ♞💚
Our thanks to @AGTPinsights for the feature.

My favorite part of the discussion is the KYA framework we're developing at @KnightIntelco :))
Compared to other KYA providers that primarily focus on identifying and authorizing AI agents, we're taking it a step further.
@KnightIntelco already connects identity, KYC/KYB, and financial intelligence, giving us a baseline of the human or business behind the agent to better understand its behavior and assess risk.
We're not just asking who the AI agent is. We're looking at who it's acting for, how it behaves, and whether its actions make sense in context. ♞
During our recent Asia Tech Podcast @AGTPinsights interview, @MichaelWaitze raised an important question: Who is responsible when an AI agent transacts on someone's behalf? And how is the emerging field of agentic finance, or AiFi, evolving to address this?
Recent reporting from @axios highlights a growing concern among major U.S. banks: AI agents accessing customer accounts and, in some cases, attempting transactions or actions that appear independent of user instructions.
At Knight, we're developing a Know Your Agent (KYA) framework that extends beyond agent identification and authorization.
While many emerging KYA approaches focus on verifying an agent's identity and authorization by its principal, Knight is developing a framework grounded in our underlying KYC/KYB and financial intelligence.
Our approach also draws from Émile Durkheim's sociological theories of deviance, examining behavior in relation to established norms and social context.
The principal's verified identity and financial context serve as the baseline for understanding agent behavior, identifying deviations, and assessing risk.
We anticipate three increasingly important forms of interaction:
☑ Agent-to-Agent
☑ Human-to-Agent
☑ Agent-to-Human
Our objective is to support continuity of financial activity while distinguishing the risks introduced by autonomous agents from those associated with their human or institutional principals.
As agentic finance evolves, we believe identity and authorization alone will not be sufficient.
The next layer of trust will depend on intelligence, behavioral context, and a deeper understanding of the principal behind the agent.
That's the direction we're exploring at Knight. ♞

Great question, Kevin! Sumsub already offers a form of reusable KYC through token sharing, allowing verified identity data to be reused across participating fintechs, subject to the receiving institution's requirements.
We're approaching this with a broader intelligence tech. By working with licensed KYC/KYB providers and synthesizing financial context across TradFi, Web3, and other sources, @KnightIntelco aims to give receiving institutions a richer, machine-readable picture of the user..
The receiving institution still makes the final onboarding and risk decisions. We're not replacing their compliance judgment or assigning a universal trust score. We're providing better context to inform it.
The goal isn't to eliminate due diligence, but to make verified information more portable and useful across institutions.
Replying to @BennyInHerBag @KnightIntelco
Thanks, Bernadette. Portable trust is the right goal. The hard part is getting the receiving side to rely on checks it didn't run itself. How are you solving that?

Love seeing this from a fintech compliance lawyer!
That's exactly why we made trust portable @KnightIntelco 🫡

Good framing. The money moves at blockchain speed, but the compliance checks have to keep up, so sanctions screening, sender and recipient details, and KYC all need to travel with the payment, or the off-ramp holds the funds.

I'm surprised it took this long to get noticed in the Middle East with what you're building:
- huge expat population
- very friendly towards crypto adoption
- lots of remittance going out and in

A central bank in the Middle East just scheduled a demo with @KnightIntelco after watching my Asia Tech Podcast interview.
We're only getting started. I love proving mfers who doubt my vision wrong.
By 2027, identity verification alone won't be enough.
According to LexisNexis, an estimated 70% of fraud occurs after initial KYC is completed.
Banks face millions in annual fraud losses, while AI is making impersonation and identity fraud easier to scale.
Deepfake technology can now fabricate faces, identity documents, and supporting records with increasing sophistication. Yet many compliance processes still rely on manual reviews, fragmented systems, and PDF-based documentation.
As Bernadette Pantaleon @BennyInHerBag , Founder and CEO of Knight, explains, fraudsters are continuously evolving their methods while many traditional compliance processes struggle to keep pace.
The next frontier of financial security isn't just verifying who someone is at onboarding. It's understanding risk and financial behavior beyond that initial verification.
That's the challenge Knight is building to address:
Connecting financial context and intelligence across institutions, systems, and borders to enable more informed risk assessment.

Knight is building for modern earners that traditional finance has struggled to understand.
By connecting financial data across TradFi, Web3, creator income, and digital commerce, we turn fragmented information into richer, machine-readable financial intelligence.
Helping financial institutions and governments better understand how people earn, assess risk, and make more informed decisions.

When we started building @KnightIntelco, our go-to-market strategy was primarily focused on banks. More recently, we've also begun seeing interest from governments.
In fact, one of our early partners provides identity verification and KYC solutions to a government in Asia.
Our goal at Knight is to help financial institutions and governments identify risks before it's too late.
The bigger picture has always been the same: building better financial intelligence across institutions, systems, and borders. ♞💚
