NOAA Fisheries has done a good job creating the science and tools we need to prepare fisheries for climate change. Now we just have to use them. IRA funding for #ClimateReadyFisheries can help bridge the gap between science and management.
🚨Climate change poses a HUGE threat to marine wildlife & fisheries across the country that are the foundation of coastal economies. @NOAAFisheries must give managers the tools they need to build #ClimateReadyFisheries.

Super important, @NOAAFisheries published the rule to calibrate landings from private anglers for Gulf red snapper today. This rule is absolutely necessary to restore sustainability and fairness, and to bring the mgmt system into compliance with the law.

Thankfully, the BIMS team is safe & our students are safe. Some students did see the number of cop cars (4!!!) that were crowded outside the hotel. There was no regard for them whatsoever when T was told to leave which meant of course WE all were leaving.
