Everyone obsesses over level in recruiting, but here's the truth: After you graduate, no one cares what level you played.
Employers love hiring former athletes. Period.
Not because they were D1, D2, or D3, but because being a college athlete proves you have discipline and work ethic.

Best way to sum up the current recruiting landscape for HS Prospects….
You have to be a really good player to receive a College offer at ANY level right now.

Recruits: if you REALLY want to make it easy for coaches..create a YouTube channel. Upload multiple highlights AND full game film. Put the link in your bio and don’t give them a single reason to not find anything. Have it listed clearly and by type of video.

A high-academic D3 Coach told us this:
“As soon as I get a recruit's name I go to Twitter”
Their goal?
Get a quick sense of the player's fit for their program, aka if they are "recruitable"
Best Case: The recruit has all key info listed in their profile, it is up to date & there's film to watch
Worst Case: Limited info, no highlight, or even worse - no profile at all
Coaches can't recruit what they can't find
Twitter (X) is free and something all recruits should create & maintain

Proud day for me. Taking a risk but believe in this project! It has made my coaching responsibilities so much more manageable and allows me to focus more on the things that matter most. Coaches, check it out!
Anyone that follows me or has received an invite to this camp, I suggest you sign up. We’ve signed several players from this camp. Well worth the time and money. See you there!

A lot of the basketball training you see for kids heading into their freshman year of college simply doesn’t translate to the college game. Freshmen need to be elite at the basics: catch-and-shoot, scoring in two dribbles or less, defending at a high level, and being physically and mentally prepared to compete every possession. That’s what earns minutes.

Congrats Billy!

I did both, playing D3 changed my life, but I wouldn’t have been as good of a D3 player if I didn’t have the experience of playing high level D1. If I could do it over I would choose a D3 for all 4 years where you can play and develop. No better feeling than playing the game.
