I was explaining to my chinese wife the concept of trophy games and how the Hawks are playing Minnesota this weekend for a pig. The idea of plundering pork from a nearby village that we don't like resonated with her very much. Needless to say, she wants this one bad. #GoHawks
Most people understand it to mean that someone has completed a formal scholarly pursuit, ie college but generally when people go out of their way to tell you they're educated it's always because their argument is shit and all that's left is an appeal to authority. It's a tell.
That's worth looking into. It's been so long since I registered to vote I never even knew about that. I was suprised when I changed the address on my ID that my voter registration changed automatically.
