Toronto isn’t broken. It’s stuck.
But we’re on the cusp of change.
Tomorrow, we can choose a city that moves, a city we can afford and a city where we feel safe.
If you want to change the city, you have to change the Mayor.

Midtown is ready for change.
Thank you MP @lesliechurch , MP @vgasparro , MPP @stephaniesmyth and former councillor @KarenStintz for your support to get Toronto moving.
LIES. LIES. LIES. Scaring people about their drinking water is beyond the pale. But not surprising, eh?
The story says an agent "could be a private company, a public-private partnership like Metrolinx or the Canada Infrastructure Bank." Metrolinx is a Crown agency under section 3 of the Metrolinx Act. It’s 100% owned by the Province of Ontario. The Canada Infrastructure Bank’s shares are issued to a federal minister and held on behalf of the Crown under section 25 of the Canada Infrastructure Bank Act. It’s 100% owned by the Government of Canada. Neither has a single private shareholder. They aren’t public-private partnerships. They’re public bodies. The professor reached for the 2 best examples of wholly public ownership in the country to argue the law permits private ownership. And "agent of the Crown" isn’t a label a company can give itself. It’s a legal status conferred by statute. The only way a private investor ever holds a share in one of these corporations is if a legislature passes a new law saying so. That’s the opposite of a door left open.
Thanks @TorontoStar & @mahdishabibinia for this insightful piece clarifying @BradMBradford's & @fordnation's path to water privatization: "What qualifies as 'an agent' could be a private company, a public-private partnership like Metrolinx or the Canada Infrastructure Bank, which facilitates private investment in infrastructure projects." thestar.com/gift-redeem?t=e9…

Change is possible if you choose it at the ballot box tomorrow.
The article in the star today is full of errors of fact. I’ve asked them to fix it. They haven’t. Instead they’re doubling down. Wonder why.
Star's @mahdishabibinia took @BradMBradford's pledge to save Torontonians $ on water bills -
by turning Toronto Water from a city dept. into a corporate utility, like Toronto Hydro - to the experts. Verdict: An idea exploring but not at all the slam dunk he seems to suggest...

Here is Brad Bradford, who says Toronto is collecting hundreds of millions from taxpayers for projects years away from being built, and argues fixing the city budget could mean lower taxes without cuts to services.

My response to the Star:
The proposal caused a spectacle between the two leading contenders in Toronto's mayoral race. It's a lot, it's complicated and it's all in the midst of heavy campaigning during a thestar.com/news/gta/city-ha…

Olivia Chow’s campaign likes to lie about Brad’s water plan.
They’re doing it because they see an electorate that’s ready for change. And they’re terrified that you’re going to vote for Toronto to reach its full potential on Monday.
It’s time to set the record straight. 👇

For too long, Toronto has been stuck in gridlock, on waitlists, and paying more while getting less.
Monday is our chance for change. But to change the city, you have to change the mayor.
Vote for change to help Toronto reach its full potential.

Chow and her minions at Progress Toronto - and chatterboxes on here - are trying to portray Bradford and anyone who supports him as "far right" or "Maple MAGA" which means they are scary.
Here is the Liberal MPP for Scarborough-Guildwood explaining why she's backing Brad.
Scarborough deserves transit that actually gets people where they need to go, and so much more.
Thank you to Scarborough—Guildwood MPP @AndreaHazelll for your endorsement to get Scarborough moving.

Canadian cliff diver Molly Carlson has made history as the first woman to dive off of an iceberg. Carlson and her team spent six months to prep and train for this epic feat off the coast of Newfoundland.
Experts remind people not to get too close to an iceberg or attempt this feat. Icebergs can be unpredictable so you must give them a wide berth and never attempt to climb or scale them.
