Delighted that my friend & political mentor Paddy Cosgrave has been co-opted onto @sdublincoco🙌🌹
Paddy will be a fantastic Cllr for #Rathfarnham-Templeogue alongside the brilliant @Pam_Kearns, and @joannatuffy in Lucan
A growing @labour team working hard for our communities🌹
3 new Councillors, Cllr. Jacqueline Sheehy (Fianna Fáil) Cllr. Paddy Cosgrave (Labour) and Cllr. Helen Farrell (Independent) were co-opted at a Special Meeting of the Council this evening. With the addition of Cllrs Farrell and Sheehy, SDCC is now the first Council in the history of the State to have majority female membership, with 21 women now representing 52.5% of the Council. @NWCI @women4election @UN_Women

Good analysis of the Dublin South West election here - and a prediction that I’m in with a good chance of getting a seat! 🙌🌹
For that to happen I need your help. Please vote Ahern #1 on 29 November! 🗳️1️⃣ dublinpeople.com/news/commun…

Too many families with special needs children are facing the prospect of having no school space for their child this year. We cannot accept this status quo. Labour has a plan to ensure every child gets the education they deserve!

A busy day of rainy canvassing, supporting teachers in @ColaisteEanna, cold afternoon canvassing, colder evening canvassing, and finally a board meeting of @BallyroanBoys, which was wonderfully warm as always! 🙌
We go again tomorrow! #GE24💪🌹

Labour want to build a better Ireland, together. 🌹
We will build affordable homes, end the scourge of low pay and protect welfare from inflation. We will ensure that every child has a school place and the care they need.

Some great canvassing today in #Rathfarnham and #Ballyboden ☀️🙌
Was so chuffed to see my leaflets in my barber Liam’s in Rathfarnham Village. Brendan has been cutting my hair since I was a lad! ☺️
Also canvassed my namesake Ciarán Aherne the physio who I’m often confused for!

Great lunchtime canvass in #Rathfarnham with the Mayor of Orchardstown Paddy Cosgrave! 🌹🙌
Lots of concerns raised about the poor state of the footpaths and roads, and bigger issues like climate & housing.
I’ll be following up on them all! 📝 – at South Dublin, Ireland

This is just so unbelievably out of touch, even with his own party’s policy 😳
We in @labour have called for a winter eviction ban. It’s been done in France every winter since 1956. No reason we can’t do it here

In the latest installment of Policy Matters, Francis Noel Duffy tells us that he doesn't believe the eviction ban should be reinstated. He believes doing so would be akin to "a communist state".

It’s not perfect, but our growing city, emissions targets & public health demand a better bus network now 🚌 – at South Dublin, Ireland
I’m preparing a submission to An Bord Pleanála on the #Templeogue #Rathfarnham to City Centre Bus Connects core bus corridor 🚌
If anyone has any points you think should be raised let me know 🙋♀️
Spoiler: I am fully behind Bus Connects, but will be asking for some tweaks ✅
