Britain's biggest ever petition wasn't about Britain. 📜 1814. We'd just beaten Napoleon. The peace treaty gave France five more years of the slave trade. ⚓ Our own government had signed it. The country erupted. 🔥 One in every seventeen people signed. Children included. ✍️ Castlereagh took those names to Vienna. He could have asked for anything. He asked for an end to the slave trade. ⚖️ France never got its five years because of the British people. 🇫🇷 🫷🇬🇧 Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

It is okay to fly the so called Palestinian flag, along with a statue of a terrorist, but 11 year old children have their names taken for wearing our national flag. The establishment is trying to snuff out a peat fire but we all know that isn't easy.
🚨Never forget the time British police stopped 11-year-olds and taking their details for flying the St George’s Cross in their own capital. Officers surround kids draped in England flags, question them on the street, and note names like it’s a crime. Same city where other flags and marches routinely get a free pass. Flying the flag of the country you’re standing in used to be normal. Now it’s treated as suspicious - even for children. This is what “without fear or favour” looks like in the UK. Disgusting.

Alfred the Great died on this day, 899. 🕯️ In 878 the Vikings took his hall at Christmas. 🔥 He hid in the Somerset marshes with twenty men. 🌾 In spring he sent word: meet me at the stone. ⚔️ Edington. He won. Then he built the towns, the navy, the laws and the schools. 🏰 His grandson united England. 👑 The only English king we ever called Great. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Help us keep the story of England alive. 📖 Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Let’s be clear, @GOVUK @DefraGovUK are looking to impose more standards on the uk food supply chain, and we all know the cost will be passed onto the farmer, taken from their bottom line which is currently in MAJOR deficit. Whilst waving in imports that still use CO2 stunning 1/3
The Government has unveiled plans to phase out CO₂ stunning in pig slaughterhouses, with argon gas and electrical stunning among the proposed alternatives. ❌ While the move is intended to improve animal welfare, the pig sector has previously warned that any replacement must be commercially viable and avoid creating further problems for producers and processors. A consultation is now open until December 21. READ MORE: ow.ly/SWr65100SBc

If Wildlife Trust is taking over, with their reluctance to carry out any predator control, I can’t help but feel this will be the the beginning of the end for the curlew there.
The government is funding one of England's biggest land purchases for nature. £1.94 million to secure the future of The Rothbury Estate in Northumberland. @WildlifeTrusts will manage the estate for nature recovery. Learn more: wildlifetrusts.org/news/uk-g…

There is nothing socialist about a system of free movement that is used by multi-nationals to undermine wages. WATCH my Brexit speech today.

"Fortune favours the brave!" Upbeat sandwich wrapper sketch-of-the-day to help you on your way.😃👍🏼 (This one from a short while ago, as I'm on half-term hols in Turkey, surrounded by what what a slightly biased, perhaps, Czech friend has just referred to as "bottle-blond, trout-lipped Russians." "And that's just the men!" chips in Mrs Allen, who's also Czech.)

Another car crash interview from Labour. “That’s £190,000 per person…we could buy them all a house.” This Labour govt are out of their depth. This is scarily incompetent. It’s no wonder Labour are bankrupting us and taxes are going up to pay for it.
