This is how ridiculous sentencing for environment protestors is. It’s plainly wrong if violence and even robbery are treated less seriously. Environment protesting is an act of conscience. Our laws have been perverted to create these extreme punishments for peaceful protest. The Tories have been kicked out, let’s get rid of their twisted laws too.

Very sorry to say there was inaccuracy in this tweet. Brandon Lewis was knighted in June. Which means all four Conservative politician who were called to answer for their failures to prevent the Grenfell Tower fire have been either knighted or given a peerage since the fire.

Unsurprisingly, the Council's position on #Repair is weaker than the original Commission's proposal.
The Council's text is clearly a huge step back from the EU Parliament version of the text, which we celebrated a few days ago.
ALT Council of the European Union waters down the new repair rules proposed: Unfortunately the Council of the European Union weakened the European Commission's proposal on R2R. The Council's text is a huge step back from the EU Parliament version of the text: it fails to address anti-repair practices, it removed the priority of repair over replacement under legal guarantee and it limited the scope of products covered by R2R rules. We welcome the Council’s call for reasonable prices when manufacturers’ fulfill their obligations to repair. However in general the text is far from ambitions and we call on trilogue negotiators to keep the Parliament's ambition in the final text.
